Having made a special visit to taste the food and view facilities, the purpose of which was to possibly book a table for afternoon tea to mark my mothers 90th birthday (she lives very close to to the hotel) and make it a special occasion for her and our party. We found our visit to this point acceptable (although a...

Dear Guest, Sorry to learn of your dissatisfaction when trying to book for Afternoon Tea. We do advise booking for afternoon Tea as the sandwiches are all freshly prepared and can cause a delay in you being served if a table is not booked. We have a policy of not naming or giving table numbers as this leads to disappointment...

Visited the new Brasserie last night for the first time. A family meal for daughters birthday. The food was excellent as was the service. The comfort of the Brasserie is first class with lovely views over the beach and sea. This would have been a 5 star review but for the price, a bit too expensive.

Dear Guest Great to hear you enjoyed your visit to the new Brasserie on the Beach. Our Brasserie Menu is quite extensive and hopefully there is something there to satisfy all tastes. The prices do vary, depending on whether you go for a steak or Lobster or you may choose to opt for a Salad or the signature Cooden Fish...

Wake up to the sounds of the sea and gulls on the English Riviera in the newly-refurbished, quaint beachside hotel. Good amenities including car park, health club and two bars and restaurants. Full English breakfast included in room rate. Friendly staff. All-in-all a very pleasant experience although a tad pricey!

We had afternoon tea in a perfect setting - on the hotel's terrace overlooking the sea. The scones were delicious but surely they could serve a better tea than Tetley's. Twinings would have been nice... also some napkins.

The newly re-vamped restaurant here is a modern and attractive place to eat with lovely views over the beach and sea. We had eaten here often before it was re-styled and were always pleased. Now the views are even better and there are more tables near windows to really make the most if it. The food and service were good,...

Dear Guest So glad you like the new Brasserie. The views, even we are a little biased, are breathtaking now. With regards the new Brasserie Menu, we listened to what our customers wanted and have styled our Menu based on the feedback from that. The new menu is very extensive and has something to please even the most discerning palette....

Ideally situated on the beach for a coffee and s cake or just a light lunch - staff are friendly and helpful - car park is accessible although can be full at times and if not one can park at the front of the hotel or in the road

Had a weekend together with our dog while visiting friends. Nice room, plenty of space for our golden retriever too. Great hotel position right on the beach, made for easy exercising the dog. We ate in the pub the first night and our dog was also allowed which was nice (she tucks herself under the table). Good pub grub and...

I stayed at this hotel last year and thought it was wonderful - relaxed, informal, dog friendly, great food, such friendly staff, no delusions of grandeur. I visited it again this week and what a sad sad change - much more formal and stuffy and definitely less dog friendly. The receptionist could barely say hello. There was no bar menu...

Eleven of us enjoyed a celebratory birthday meal in the lovely new brasserie. The food was very tasty and the service friendly and efficient. My only gripe is that vegetables, apart from potatoes are extra. £4 for a small combination of broccoli and green beans, for example, seemed excessive.
