A previous visit had left a favourable memory so we were looking forward to our revisit to The Greyhound for a birthday party, 'Big Folk Sing' and meeting with friends. We arrived and were given the keys to our upstairs rooms? Firstly only one towel in each room, easily solved. We had a tasty reasonably priced meal. We negotiated breakfast...

We have been visiting Wadhurst for some years (to see a relation), but this was, for some reason, the first time we had gone to this particular pub and it certainly won't be the last. The decor was attractive and we liked 'mine host' who, it seems, is also the chef - we liked his sense of humour and general...

We arrived on Saturday afternoon and had no problems with the family room we had except it seems all the rooms are slightly dirty. Downstairs was an average sized double bed and upstairs was two twin beds. I slept upstairs and there is a danger of whacking your head on the seriously low beams in the upstairs bit (i'm only...

Finally managed to return to the Greyhound for Sunday lunch. The first time was many months ago but the roast beef dinner I had then was the best I had eaten in a very long time. The beef was meltingly tender and the vegetables brilliantly cooked. I was a bit apprehensive that the meal to come on Sunday last weekend...

This should be a really great pub and I'm amazed it gets the customers it does. The pub is scruffy and the landlord spends his time wearing dirty T shirts , baggy shorts and flip flops even when he is serving food which is less than appetizing, bar staff also looked scruffy. To be fair the sandwiches we ordered were...

We booked three rooms here for a Saturday night. All the staff we met were friendly, attentive and helpful. We attended a wedding in a nearby village but on our return we were greeted warmly in time for a drink at the bar! The bedrooms were clean and comfy, as it is a barn conversion the floors do creak but...

Having stayed in a number of pubs with rooms the Greyhound Inn was a pleasant surprise. Set in Wadhurst the pub is well kept, looks well, and the rooms spacious and clean. The staff team were very helpful, in particular Emma (behind the bar)was professional and welcoming. Excellent value and one of the few I would stay at again.

Wife and I stayed here for one night due to attending a wedding locally. My main gripe was the £125 cost for a night. Yes, it's in Kent but there was no value for money here. If the room was £65, I would have been satisfied. Rooms are converted barns. While quaint, it was damp and low beams were a...

Went to this village pub with my mum for lunch in July. There weren't many people in there but it took nearly an hour to prepare two simple sandwich lunches. The barman was new and took ages to place the order at the bar. The food was very nice when it came but we then had to ask for cutlery...
