Marygreen Manor Hotel is lauded for its plethora of amenities, including the luxurious bathrooms and enjoyable dining experiences that guests have called out. Reviewers consistently note the clean, spacious rooms, although opinions on the decor's modernity vary. The staff's professionalism and attentiveness contribute to the hotel's warm, friendly ambiance, which is further accentuated by its historic charm and festive decorations. Its location earns praise for both convenience and beauty. While many travelers find the hotel's offerings to provide good value, others consider the dining options overpriced.

We was brought a nught stay at the Marygreen hotel as a gift , we spent the night there last night . The hotel itself is beautiful. We had a little hiccup during dinner time but Claire went above and beyond to rectify the issue.. The food was amazing and dessert was superb. The room we stayed in was amazing . The staff are lovely and breakfast was also lovely. Would defo recommend a night's stay here We will be booking afternoon tea next as that looks lovely too

I do not have a single negative thing to say about this lovely hotel which exudes history. We had an overnight stay so we could have dinner with our nephew and his wife (they live in Brentwood) to celebrate their recent marriage which, unfortunately, we had been unable to attend. The suite we had was beautiful, spacious and well equipped and had a luxurious bathroom. We had a memorable dinner with outstanding food, unobtrusive but warm and efficient service and enjoyed in a lovely ambience. Breakfast in the room was excellent as well. All the staff we encountered were, without exception, friendly and helpful. A big thank you to the management, front of house staff and the obviously very talented team in the kitchen. First class!

Just had a really nice afternoon tea with my friend at the Marygreen Manor Hotel. Was greeted as soon as we entered the building and shown to our table. As I have a bit of a hearing problem I asked if we could move to a little quieter spot. A member of staff called David kindly showed us to a quieter table. He was also very helpful explaining what flavour cakes and sandwiches we had. He also was on hand to serve us more tea when we needed it. He was very polite and helpful. We will definitely be returning in the future for another afternoon tea.

25 years ago my wife and I had our wedding at the hotel and we were keen to return for our 25th celebration. I emailed David the manager and he was more than helpful and ensured that we had the same room as before! The Mary Green Manor is steeped in history, is beautiful and rustic in decor and like a different world from the outside. We had a lovely time, a great dinner and breakfast and found every member of staff to be friendly and attentive. A truly lovely place to stay.

Celebrated my birthday with a lunch at the Tudor restaurant. We had the set meal with several good choices for starter, main and dessert. The food was excellent, nicely presented and the staff were attentive and friendly. We had also spent Christmas Eve there for their afternoon tea. This was beautifully presented with each tier on the cake stand overflowing with sumptuous sandwiches, cakes and scones. Mary green has an old world feel about it and appears to be very popular. Highly recommended and we will be returning.

Afternoon tea was a disappointment - we have been in the past and enjoyed it and was good value for the cost. Went today with my mother - we were the only people in the conservatory and lounge - the sandwiches were made with very thick bread - the scones were very dark - I asked if the scones were wholemeal- they were the colour of a malt loaf but was told they were white inside and they were just over cooked - we also asked for rose champagne but was told they had run out - we still had for champagne but I am not convinced that it wasn’t Prosecco. Also, the tea cups and all of the china was very thick - like a canteen in a hospital. They removed the price of one of the afternoon teas - won’t be rushing back - perhaps stick to the summer time when the venue is more popular and they are better prepared to serve thinly sliced bread, rose champagne and golden coloured scones.

We are sorry to hear that your were unhappy with your afternoon tea experience. You were the last table booked in the conservatory on that day. We use the same bread daily for our sandwiches, but apologise if you feel the bread was thicker than normal. The scones should have been taken away and freshly baked ones offered. Once again, apologies for this. We had unfortunately run out of the pink champagne and the house champagne was offered to you instead. We can assure you that it wasn't prosecco. With regards to the cups, saucers and plates, these are the same ones that are used every day for afternoon teas. We do hope this doesn't deter you from returning to us in the future. Kind regards

We came to the Tudor Restaurant for a Christmas Eve lunch. We had an absolutely wonderful time. The staff couldn't do enough for you. They were welcoming and friendly. The food was great standard, especially for the price which I thought was very reasonable. The surrounding and christmas decorations were top notch! It made it feel special and magical. I'd definitely go again

This time, I stayed about four weeks in the Marygreen Manor on a Business trip and again, the hotel was lovely, my preferred room was given to me and the staff made me feel home! I do very much appreciate the support of all staff, but would not like to miss telling you how nicely you will be treated by Kathryn and David - you guys are my stars and I'm very much looking forward to see you again in January.
