I booked just one night at the Grosvenor hotel (through Booking.com) as I was meeting up with a friend over from Bristol. One of the reasons for choosing the Grosvenor hotel was its large car park at the front. Parking in Clacton can be a nightmare especially near the sea front and some of the other hotels have very limited...

Stayed here last year. Looked around other hotels and B&Bs in the area for best price ect, and this is the best by far in the area. Got a large room, clean and no noise. Breakfast was great. Not that many hotels in the area and at their prices, choose them.

Rooms were immaculate, large and with very generous amounts of bottled water, tea and coffee etc. Breakfast was extremely good a choice of Kippers, haddock and egg, full English or various sausage, bacon etc sandwiches. Unlimited juice and fresh fruit...

Now home in Florida, l would like to share the wonderful experience of The Grosvenor. Ray, the owner/manager, has English hospitality down to a T. A very clean, comfortable hotel, l was made to feel like family from Day 1. First Class breakfast, a fine old English building with character. Nothing was too much trouble for Ray and his staff....
