We have stayed here previously 3 years ago, so thought it was a good choice. Wrong I was, the service at this hotel has gone downhill! I had booked 3 rooms for 6 of us to stay. On arrival we were made to put down a £50 deposit on a card, the rest of our party were not on arrival?...

Thank you for your review. It is rather unfortunate that you have decided to twist the fact's. We pre-authorize on Check-in every guest's Credit or Debit Card in the event you don't have any monies in the card, the hotel request's for a refundable deposit. I understand that you are angry, even though you had booked a standard double room...

Arrived at 2:45pm and checked in. At 10:45pm approx the room phone went off and it was reception advising they couldn't find our check in papers..... And I was asleep. why it took them 8 hours to notice this and then decide to call our room at this silly hour is beyond me. there was no apology..... Disgusting!

WHY is this hotel still being advertised as a Best Western? Best Western themselves informed me they are no longer part of the chain yet still advertise. We had the night from hell here with drunks in the corridor keeping us awake all night and no reply from reception. Spent the night laying in bed fully clothed until we could...

Had booked four rooms for family as attending a wedding nearby. Had not been informed it was no longer a Best Western hotel. On arrival were first of all asked for a £50 'bond' in case of any damage which was waived as we were not going to the nightclub!!! Rooms tired, bathroom even more so. Beds were very soft...

This is a cheap but not very good hotel. There were only 3 staff working the evening we were there - 1 on reception, 1 in the kitchen and i serving bar and restaurant. The place is clean but tatty. The room was OK, but the shower did not work properly and the bathroom was small. I felt sorry for...

Our first room 24 was awful, the window was broken making it unable to shut or lock. The reception staff, who were professional & polite through out, changed & up graded us to one of their superior rooms. Well it was better but still very tired & in need of some redecoration. The cleanliness wasn't the best & some very...

We weren't expecting much - in fact I did expect the noisy group returning in the early hours and waking us up - even when we were upgraded to a superior room (goodness knows what the standard was like) - but at least I expected decent service. There was no greeting on arrival - just a look, as if to...

Reading the other reviews we didn't want to book this hotel, but google maps said it was the only hotel in Epping and I had a job interview for the day we were going, eventually we took the risk and booked for 2 nights. Didn't realise how far away the hotel was from literally everything, it says 0.1 miles from...

Poor food, slow wait, reason given by team "its frozen" never again room was rubbish ! Not offered any second drink or dessert! The staff barely speak english and they do not have the first clue of guest service! If you want a cheap room then ok! If you want a half decent room then avoid ! We said the...

I have no fault with the room, the hotel was old and strange - having to go out the building into another building to get to your room etc... But that wasn't the problem. It was just the staff and manager were so rude. Because we were paying by cash we were told to pay a £50 deposit incase we...
