Beautifully listed hotel. Very pretty presentation, in the best location. Debbie, the proprietor and all her staff are exemplary. From the moment we checked in, we were welcomed warmly and offered choices of restaurants/bars/theatres/casinos.....etc,etc,etc. The hostess also arranged transportation to any venue we chose. Accommodation. We had the privilege of the "Lady H" room...beautiful. The bathroom and shower was clean...

Beautiful premises, amazing staff, perfect location, would have loved to have stayed longer. The breakfast was unbeatable. Host helped me with anything I needed like directions and suggestions. The rooms were clean, as was the breakfast room, the hotel is situated looking over the estruary and adventure island.

We stayed mid- week in the room right at the top of the house. It was beautiful, clean and tastefully decorated. We had a warm and informative welcome by Sue. She ensured my husband got to his training on time with her local knowledge and that he was able to have a full English before he went. I was given lots...

This is our 2nd visit, we brought some friends to Southend for a casino night. The suites are lovely, shabby chic meets Essex seaside and it is unpretentious with unpretentious prices. Landlady always welcoming and great breakfasts. The views are 2nd to none, watching the fairground lights over the pier well worth it.

We had just a couple of nights in early February, but would happily return in good weather. We had the Nelson's Lookout which was at the top of the building and perhaps not for people with mobility problems, but the view of the pier was lovely. The breakfast was lovely, freshly cooked and very good quality ingredients. The issue of...
