We spent one night in the Camelia for a birthday. From start to finish everything was so pleasant - friendly welcome, our room upgraded as one with a sea view happened to be free, clean and lovely room, stunning view of pier and boats. There was traffic noise as it was a hot day and we needed the windows open,...

I work in Hospitality Industry so I have a great attention to details and service. Me and my girlfriend wanted a getaway trip to Southend on Sea from busy London. We had found an offer voucher including one course dinner and breakfast. We arrived at the hotel late in the evening and our room was ready. Jamie checked in in...

My fiance and I stayed here for 2 nights in early April. Upon arrival we were graciously upgraded to a sea-view suite, which is a great way to put a smile on our faces. The room was spacious, modern, and of course, spotless. I loved the big bath! We enjoyed the bar selection, as well as the breakfast and dinner...

The Camelia Hotel went out of their way to make our family lunch for 9 on a busy Bank Holiday Monday a great success. We had a table in the window with a stunning view of the sea and were made very welcome. The extensive menu catered for all tastes and everyone was delighted with their meals which were beautifully...

The main thing I loved about the Camelia is how spotlessly clean the whole place was. It felt fresh and relaxing with great unintrusive service. Staff so polite, efficient and smart. Prices reasonable. Rooms have all the facilities needed and the bed was very very comfy. There are a couple of restaurants within 5 minutes walk although the Camelia does...
