As stated - average and ok but certainly nothing special. Roslin far better in my view particularly the bar / eating area. Rooms ok and clean but do what you want. Ocean beach or somewhere like that better for breakie !

Stayed here in the summer after finding it online and it was excellent! Wonderful location opposite Thorpe Bay, fabulous spacious twin room which was incredible value for money (£38 per person after splitting costs) in the back of the hotel so was lovely and quiet with a big window for fresh air. The breakfast was delicious and lovely to be... More

This family run hotel offers a home from home experience. All of the staff are warm, friendly and helpful. They clearly care about their guests and it shows. I arrived after a long journey exhausted and grumpy (!) but the lovely warm welcome accompanied by my cosy room and even a glass of red delivered to me door, soon soothed... More

We stayed here with a big group of relatives for a birthday surprise. The hotel is a pleasant surprise, given how much it costs to stay in the Premier Inn, this is a step up for a similar cost. We had a sea view room in the eves; not too much road noise, though you do have to get dressed... More

We stayed for two nights in a ground floor suite. Plenty of room, nice and clean, own patio area facing the seafront. Free parking, friendly staff and lovely buffet style breakfast. Twenty minute walk to the pier. Will be back to stay again.

This was booked as a last minute get away. It was lovely. We had a very warm welcome on Friday evening around 8pm when we arrived, with offers of letting us know all the places to see and visit. We were also warned that there would be a function the following night, but we probably wouldn't hear anything as we... More

Staying in suite facing the sea at the moment. Cannot fault this fabulous boutique hotel, simply lovely. We were upgraded on arrival as it is our Wedding Anniversary by the Manager and cannot thank him enough, I will be back.

Stayed here for two weeks while working in Southend on Sea it's location is great. parking is always tough in Southend but this one has the use of a communal car park round the back of the hotel so that helps.
