We've eaten at a few pubs in this chain before and have found them nice with good food, so we didn't think anything of stopping off here when we were hungry. I wish we hadn't. The staff were polite, which is about the best I can say. The decor is tired with marks and cracks. Something I can easily get...

Thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay over Easter, the Royal George has a lovely, homely, relaxed atmosphere. Our room was spotless, with a huge comfy bed. Breakfast was delicious, staff friendly, with quick, efficient service, what more could you want!! Thank you Nigel and Jo for a lovely weekend.

Set in it's own extensive grounds this is an ideal place for a relaxing break. Garden area is very nice and the rooms are great. Our bed was huge and easily the most comfortable one we have ever had. Food is good and surprisingly reasonably priced, as was the wine. Staff very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here...

Went to the Cotswolds over Easter for a family party. Stayed for two nights at Royal George. Great hospitality from Nigel and his team including his lovely wife Jo. This is a good old fashioned style pub with comfortable rooms and is very dog friendly. We really felt at home and you didn't need to stand on station. Superb breakfast...

Basically although our 2 young grand daughters enjoyed their Chicken korma and rice last Sunday late afternoon - my husbands beef roast dinner and my ravioli with olive overload were absolutely inedible. No one came to ask if everything was OK with our meals so we were advised by the very apologetic bar man Paul to contact the Manager Nigel...

When the chef says the chips are all right depending how tolerant you are I do not think he understands what being a celiac means and he should look into it before making a silly remark like that. Please be carefully !!!!!

Called into the George on our way home on sunday evening. we ordered 3 roast dinners. The lamb shank was supposed to come with pigs in blankets, and there were none on the plate, when we questioned the waitress, we were just told sorry they've run out. The roast potatoes were terrible, they tasted as though they had been in...

This hotel is now looking very tired. Needs a revamp. Distinct lack of staff. Large queue at the bar at lunchtime for food and drinks. The girl did apologise as she was on her own but not her fault!!! Rooms were shabby and mattress very soft and uncomfortable. You expect better for the price!!! We were a large party for...
