This hotel is small but so friendly. The staff are all lovely and the General Manager is friendly and helpful at all times. The food was delicious, beautifully cooked, rooms kept immaculately clean we could not find fault with one thing. The entertainment on Monday was fantastic not so the other nights but the company made up for that. The...

Yet another superb stay at Prince of Wales Berkeley. We have stayed umpteen times and never a criticism. This time we had a potentially real life fire alarm early one morning and our praise goes especially to George the night porter. He dealt with the situation in a very professional way. He did not flap but calmly and efficiently he...

Having special dietary requirements always makes visiting a hotel a bit of a lottery. At the Prince of Wales I hit the jackpot. The chef understood my needs and allergies and bent over backwards to provide interesting food, and ensure I could eat interesting, filling, nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The staff were all fully informed and there...

Five day organised tour with Shearings - A good room at the back of the hotel - however COLD - and indeed the rest of the hotel just did not put on the heating. We were placed in the conservatory part of the dining room - freezing, likewise the large room where the entertainment is provided - walked out -...

Thank you for your review, as I explained to you when you were here, the heating was turned on, its a timed system that can be over-ridden if necessary although other guests were complaining that it was 'too warm' so it is very difficult to keep everyone happy all of the time but we do try. Also I must correct...

Went to the hotel for a weekend touring break . Excellent location for the places we wanted to go (Berkeley castle,Westonbirt arboretum).Registering easy and friendly. Then to the room only 2 floors so no lift and we were at end of a very long winding corridor ,quirky layout. Room large, clean and comfortable BUT the bathroom though perfectly clean lacked just...

Thank you for your review. Such a shame about the comments regarding one of our entertainers as we rather like him, he's a lovely man who is always smiling and we usually get very good feedback from our guests, I suppose like everything it is down to personal choice, nevertheless, I am pleased you enjoyed your stay and look forward...

This hotel caters for many coach tours as its a Shearings Bay Hotel, so it caters well for groups like our party of 30. It is a traditional leisure hotel, extremely comfortable public rooms, but bedrooms are becoming tired and dated, in need of renovation. Showers provided hot water but not much power, toilet roll holder falling apart. The staff...
