Late booking led me to the Red lion. Nice country position but close to MK the staff welcomed me and a great chat and good real ale pint was a great start. The rooms area set to the side of the hotel and in a block of 3 no double rooms with bathrooms. The good sized room was tidy with...

Great village pub, super food in the evening and a good breakfast. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Room a little dated but clean and functional. I was in Room 3 at the back and the wifi could not quite reach all the time. Overall a good place and nice people, would call again.

We didn't fancy cooking but didn't want to go somewhere too pricey. We went here... it's a traditional village pub but with rooms (so an inn, rather than a pub I guess). Staff were friendly. Food is standard pub-grub (I suspect much is bought in, not freshly made on site). But it's OK. Decent enough mixed grill and (according to...

Nice staff food was poor looked like it had been brought from iceland back in the late 80's. Menu had no identity couldn't work out what sort of place it was trying to be. Mexican prawns were just prawns in tin tomatoes with very little flavour. Could be a lovely business the garden looked nice would be good on a...

Honestly, I can't believe that places like this still in 21st century England. I stayed here for a couple of nights on business whilst working in the area. The accommodation is so dated and run down that it can't have been updated for about 40 years. Pealing wallpaper, dirty carpets, dusty surfaces, tired net curtains, bathroom sinks coming away from...

We all enjoyed our meals we came back a second time. I had a steak with pepper sauce and it was great. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. My Japanese colleagues has steak and a burger which they both enjoyed. Will be coming back again. The food is cooked fresh and served wonderfully.

VERY expensive drinks. Wrong meal came. Meat nice enough but in general not the quality to be charging those prices. Slow food. Bright, motorway cafe style lighting, no ambience in resteraunt. Not that clean, crumbs on table.

I had stayed at the Red Lion Hotel many times before. The decor is not that of a luxury hotel and neither is the furniture but it is a great little pub with rooms and an old outbuilding that has been renovated. Quaint and quirky, Bob and Pauline are terrific hosts and the food (evening meal and breakfast) is excellent....
