We have just finished a two day meeting here including various meals. Apart from the wonderful place, I cannot praise the staff highly enough. Literally nothing was too much trouble. And for special mentions ... Hannah, the Restaurant Manager; Kieran the Wine Waiter who recommended a fantastic Chateau Haut Batailley and bothered to decant it for us; and Meg who...

Booked for Spoil yourself Sunday and wasn't disappointed. Our welcome was friendly and efficient despite arriving at the end of what was obviously a very busy and popular Sunday lunchtime. Stayed in the lovely Robert Graves room. Very comfortable bed, good linen and towels. Just a few tired touches (eg lampshades), but not the sort that spoil your stay. Dinner...

That was the best New Years Eve ever and I am now 70 yrs old - the staff were fantastic and every need was catered for. The whole ambience was increased by a superb band with a singer who should be on the 'Voice' , coupled with a fun casino - the whole thing hosted by Kirin and Daisy and...

We stayed here for 3 nights earlier this week, in the Robert Graves room. This historic 16th Century Inn features low beams, so fair warning for those much over 5'7" in some areas (remember to watch your head!). I would have given it 5 stars, but the shower didn't drain well (and had to shut the water off a couple...

Just been to a birthday lunch for 20+ at The Anchor. Fabulous food (Sunday roasts just DELICIOUS), super attentive service, well considered wine list and a gorgeous private dining room. Can't wait to go back (and will definately stay over next time - the decor is just lovely).

We stayed for a couple of nights here in the middle of the week in the deluxe room which was a very large, comfortable room with a king-sized bed. I believe one or some of the smaller rooms may only have a double bed, so be aware of that when booking. I was surprised at how large the room was....

Excellent food- the tasting menu was sublime. Friendly and attentive staff that were willing to go the extra mile in making our stay perfect. Cote de boeuf to be recommended when it is on the specials board. Crispy pigs ear scratchings were a definite hit!

We stayed in this lovely pub for a family wedding. Accommodation was fantastic with a very comfortable bed with excellent quality bedding. Tea & coffee making facilities, handmade toiletries and a fridge. Staff were wonderful and nothing was too much effort. We had breakfast for 59 covers on the Saturday morning including thr bride & groom and it was fabulous....
