Had a lovely stay at this family run B&B. Freda and her husband were very good hosts, the accommodation was good, and breakfast excellent. Were given the directions to a local, quaint pub where we spent the evening.

Freda and Bev made us very welcome in their house. We had a comfortable double room and Freda provided us with an excellent breakfast - a very good value B&B in a quiet location. We would definitely stay again if we are in the area.

Lovely Hosts. I would like to thank Freda and Bev for a warm welcome and a lovely time staying at Fernihurst. Nothing was too much borrowed an Iron to press my clothes, had to buy a new shirt for the wedding and did not have any cufflinks, not to worry Bev lent me a set of gold ones. Freda was...

I have stayed with Freda and Bev many times over the last 4 years. Each time I receive a very warm welcome. There are such a lovely couple and ensure that nothing is too much trouble. The bedrooms are spotlessly clean and well equipped with flat screen TVs and tea /coffee making facilities. Breakfast is always good with a full...

Just what I was looking for. A stay in this suburban family home is great value. Their bye-line speaks the truth, "The B&B where nothing is too much trouble". Freda and Bev are most friendly and helpful. They keep a comfortable, clean house and rooms. There is a good choice for breakfast. I will certainly be coming back. Barry, Tarn...

I have stayed with Freda and Bev most weeks now for the last 18 months or so and may well be here for a few more months to come. I work away from home and Fernihurst is a real 'home from home' and I feel comfortable in the surroundings. The day starts well with an excellent breakfast and after work...

Me and my partner have been coming back here for at least 6 years! Freda and Bev are delightful. Freda knew us before we had children so it's been nice to introduce our 2 girls over the time and have them stay there too. It has always been a very friendly & homely atmosphere. We would not want to stay...

We really enjoyed our stay at Fernihurst. Freda couldn't have been more helpful! The price was excellent and even included a massive breakfast. There's also a great pub just down the road called the Southampton Arms where all the locals go to play pool and eat very reasonably priced meals.

This was my first visit here. I stayed one night. Everything worked extemely well. Room, including bed, was comfortable and very clean. TV and DVD in bedroom. Breakfast was superb - cereals, cooked breakfast with choice of egg. Regarding the previous review, I disagree that the breakfast was unhealthy - there was a choice. The bathroom is shared but this...
