This place sells its self as old world charm. This is totally misleading. In fact its a very very sparsely furnished property which gives every impression of no expense spent. My room has a duvet ,sheet and pillow. Not even a bedspread. The table looked like it had come out a garage sale and there was no wardrobe , only...

Convenient for the town with free parking in nearby council car park from 4pm - 8.30am and on Sundays. No en suite but two shower/bath rooms nearby - historic building but anyone taller than about 5'10" must remember to duck when entering/leaving bedroom! Marta the manager is very friendly and helpful and provides a super breakfast to set you up...

We were "placed" at Church Mews guest house when attending a hobby event in Andover by the event organisers: we could not have asked for better. The welcome is warm, everyone is willing to make your stay great, and the breakfast is wonderful. It could be a bit noisy, but not excessively so. Where else could you get a historic...

A very pleasant friendly & comfortable guesthouse. Clean & homely a little home from home. Marta runs it efficiently, providing an an excellent breakfast each day. Some would complain at the lack of en-suite accommodation but to be honest that is not really a problem as everything, shower, bath & toilets are all near at hand. Only room for eight...

I have just spent a night in Church Mews and found it to be a wonderful, charming and quaint little BnB. The room was very clean with nice touches (like a dressing gown) and hot chocolate. The owner Ed was such a gentleman and totally made me feel at ease bearing in mind I was on my own. I would...

I stayed at the guest house for 11 nights in October and I highly recommend it. If you want a reasonably priced, clean, comfortable room, a nice breakfast, and pleasant and fun owners, this is a great place for you. If you need all the bells and whistles, this is not for you. This is a traditional English B&B in...

Stayed at this guest house while I was doing some revamp work at the chantry shopping centre. This made it ideal for easy of getting to site as the shopping centre is located on same street. This makes it a prime location if you like to splash the cash. Denise the manageress of this establishment is very friendly and can't...

I stayed at Churchmews Guesthouse on Saturday 21st April while hiking the Test Way over four days with a friend, sharing a twin room. On arrival we found Denise quite friendly, although her local knowledge of restaurants and recommended places to eat falls well short of the mark, as we later found out. The twin room was small and the...

I strongly disagree with the previous review.! I have been coming here for a long time on business and have had absolutely no problems. The landlady has always made my stay so welcoming hence why I keep coming back. If someone did there homework on the guest house they would see it is situated by a church the name says...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Church Mews is an early Elizabethan galleried town house and one of Andover's oldest private dwellings. Standing at the head of the medieval upper high street it combines a wealth of historic features with warm and comfortable modern living. The 3 principle rooms, all in the oldest part of the house, date from around 1550 and provide a wealth of character with exposed oak beamed ceilings and original crook frame wall timbers. ... more   less
