Our choices were mussels, pie and chips and burger, not all served on the same plate!! Good meals, but portions were too much for ladies to get through. Good service and not rushed to move on. There has to be something for everyone on the menu including sarnies. Plenty of parking on site but I expect it gets packed during...

I found this hotel to offer everything I required room clean and everything worked and if you asked things were sorted out. Only thing I would ask the bar door gets slammed a lot maybe a soft closer could be installed This is a general request to all hotels the showers always need a flex hose head as well as...

I came here on a Friday night with a friend for a some food. The staff were very friendly and pleasant. The menu has a good range of dishes (although a little pricey). I had the pork belly which was delicious. Despite being a Friday night, the bar was very quiet as most people were eating in the restaurant, so...

Excellent lunch with large portions although mixed vegetables were cold. Decided against mentioning this otherwise lunch would have been delayed. Good service and quite quick considering the dishes chosen. Apple crumble was covered in some sort of unappetising dust but filling was tasty. Mix-up with coffee. Ordered 3 but one was incorrect. Mentioned this and received the correct on but...

We wanted to visit relatives nearby and were pleased to find The Mortimer allowed dogs. We booked direct as usually dog friendly rooms are limited and it is never clear that one is available on a booking site. We stayed for 3 nights and were happy to have a refurbished room with a hard floor, we have experienced some establishments...

Dropped in for lunch and had their two courses for £12.99. Advertised outside but not in the pub. Very limited choice but was very good food. The two courses were a starter and main and they happily let us have a desert instead of a starter.

Came in on the hop as we happened to be staying in the area. As it was very quiet a table for 3 was easily accommodated and we were given a table in front of the fire. The restaurant is split into 2 parts with 3 tables on one side and the rest on the other. We were sat on...

overall we had a good stay with reasonable food although a little pricey. The main issue we had was a constant humming noise evidently coming from a freezer in an adjoining room in the courtyard which kept my wife awake during our 3 night stay. We were compensated for this by way of a small refund, however, we were told...

Just two minutes from the motorway, this is a great place to eat, drink and sleep. Lovely atmosphere with very friendly staff and delicious food. Apart from the menu they also have a 'specials blackboard' which changes regularly. There is a good range of beers and a well selected short wine list. Definitely worth a visit.

Booked 3 days here. Very enjoyable Christmas 5 course lunch served by an extremely well-organised team of people. Apart from broccoli and roast potatoes not being quite cooked, the rest was wonderful. Thank you to all the staff for a very enjoyable lunch.
