As local to this pub we have visited it quite a lot. We always get a warm welcome and a giggle with the bar staff/waitresses. The menu is varied, suitable for all tastes. But... 3 times recently I've either had to send food back for a refund (unedible meat, chewy and gristly) or they have run out of something simple... More

Visited here for a casual family lunch recently. The staff were lovely (just two ladies), the place is nice and the food was good. The only slight problem was the wait for the food was long considering we all ordered sandwiches. We completely understand they must be short staffed and they did the best they could. Puddings were also lovely... More

On arrival greeted by a really nice gentleman. Very personable and welcoming. Venue is nice! Good selection of food and reasonably priced. Ordered food and waited for arrival. We were warned there was 2 large bookings in restaurant so there was a 30 minute delay which was fine. Food arrived and it was obvious the steak ordered was very over... More

The hotel is decorated beautiful and the food was way above our expectations. However, the service wasn't as quick as expected and we ended up staying more than 2 hours for lunch. But it was a nice experience overall! (ps. choose the vegetable jalfrezi if you are an indian food fan!)

Arrived 1230, 2 couples, for lunch not knowing what to expect but open minded. Very surprised when presented with the extensive menu, what to choose ? After much deliberation meals were chosen and informed at the bar maybe a short wait while meals are prepared. That is good customer contact, rather than sitting and wondering how much longer. However all... More

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for two nights for our anniversary and it was very nice. Apart from a liquid splatter stain on the wall, our room was clean and a decent size. Bathroom was a little cramped and the bed was two singles pushed together which was a pain. Staff were really friendly and the hotel was easy... More

I couldn't fault the place on my visit. Four and half people for Sunday lunch, and I was loving it. Decent size car park, and facilities to sit outside. Inside the bar and restaurant is large, and you don't feel like you're sitting on top of each other. Granted, it wasn't busy on the day we went, so hard to... More

Stayed here for two nights to take our daughter away for a birthday treat. Only ten minute drive from Paulton Park and walking distance from Lyndhurst high street. We had a family room which was a great size, really pleased with it. Breakfast was okay, maybe a little sparse for price paid. Had one afternoon meal here which I thought... More

Food was good lovely, amazing price (drinks, mains and sides for £20) The staff member who served us was great (i don't know his name... More

We stayed oblvernight mid week due to my partner working in the area so though it would be nice treat to visit the area and stay. Lovely welcome by staff. Lovely pub/restaurant area. I had read the reviews but thought we would try it out. The room was fine for an over night stay but in need of a good... More
