For anyone looking for a touch of the old English I definitely recommend this place! The bedrooms are simply regal. The staff are fantastic and really know how to make you feel special. I went there for business and it was simply brilliant we took our board members and it was great to have the option of both a Michelin...

We just spent a long weekend at the Montague Arms in Beaulieu. Great location for visiting the New Forest and local seaside places. The hotel is warm and welcoming. It has a relaxed, calming atmosphere. The rooms are comfortable and characterful. The food and ambience at Monty's, the adjoining pub are great as was the service. The restaurant in the...

I took my wife here for a birthday treat and we were both knocked-out by the whole evening. The tasting menu was delicious and beautifully balanced. The staff were charming, welcoming and extremely knowledgeable. The Maitre D' even apologised for it not being very busy! The food is obviously not cheap but I felt is was worth every penny. I...

Stayed for the wife's 40th birthday and took our young daughter. The hotel does not market itself to be child friendly so we weren't expecting anything extra in that department. Booked online via an agent and asked to pay upfront on check in, which doesn't sit well with me. Walked to our room, no porter unfortunately so did have to...

wow... My wife took me here for my 50th birthday as we was visiting the motor museum nearby, on arrival we was welcomed warmly and shown our room which was lovely and comfortable, there was bath robes and slippers provided and bottled water for the tea making facility, they provided room service if required along with the usual wake up...

Just before Christmas we has the opportunity of having dinner at the Montagu Arms and we went for the taster menu together with the selected wines for each course, it was a most tantalizing, self indulging, wonderful experience. Not only was each course delicious, the sommelier's selection of the wines for the 7 courses was excellent and complimented them well....

We had occasion to stay at the Montagu Arms for a private party shortly after New Year. Having stayed once in the past, and eaten there on several occasions, I was underwhelmed. The staff were excellent. The food (maybe the Michelin star was home for Christmas) was borderline appalling. The room was cramped and expensive.

Sometimes this older hotels seem dusty and dated, not this one. Clean as anything and really really nice. Loads of history in a beautiful village this place really...

We go back time and time again. As others have said, the Montagu Arms is full of old world charm and traditional service. This is how classic English hotels used to be. Not a spa, gymnasium or swimming pool in sight - thank god. Not the ideal location it has to be said, situated on a bend on a main...
