Dropped in on a Sunday for a quick bite for 4 and must say we loved it. Its clearly a locals pub as well ( always a good sign) as the landlord seemed to know loads of people. Loved the friendly welcoming atmosphere, great menu, quick delivery and great pub food. A warm welcoming fire in the grate and dog... More

We have just had a wonderful two night stay at the Turfcutters Arms. This place is right in the heart of the New Forest, with some Lovely walks just outside the front door, with nothing but a vast expanse of unspoilt land - and lots of ponies and donkeys! As soon as we checked in, we were warmly welcomed by... More

We visited The Turfcutters for evening meal a couple of months ago on the first evening of week staying with friends at nearby Bucklers Hard. We enjoyed the food and the atmosphere in this country pub so much we ate there every night of the week. It is well patronised by locals so that is a good sign. My wife... More

Spent two lovely evenings here - roaring fire and such a friendly welcome. Fantastic breakfast with a beautiful bowl of local strawberries on the table, other excellent quality produce and good coffee. Thanks so much.

Really good pub. Friendly service. Food spot on. We ate there three times while on holiday in the New Forest. It would have been four but couldn't get in on Friday night. Landlord and staff couldn't have been friendlier. Some reviews say slow service which may happen when pub rammed as very popular place. Would go back again. Many thanks

What a fantastic pub. In the great tradition of old English pubs the Turfcutters is situated in the beautiful New Forest in Hampshire and is surrounded by countryside. The pub itself is welcoming and comfortable with an excellent selection of local and guest ales, beers, wines and spirits. The food is good pub grub and prices very reasonable. If you... More

Well over an hour we waited for our food. We kept being given inaccurate timings saying it was minutes away. No apologies. Then when it came, the simple pub grub was poor - dry. Beautiful location and exterior were the reasons we were lulled - looks can be deceiving.

Beautiful location was ideal after canoeing on the river, hence the need for a restorative pint and a sandwich. However, despite all our party of four ordering the same sandwich, we were left for almost ninety minutes. Despite contemplating gnawing the table, we were reassured twice that our food was on the way-however these timings were arbitrary guesses. In the... More

Am just sitting in the pub garden eating the most fabulous chilli cheesy chips ever. Well worth a visit to eat, drink and even stay if they're not booked. Have stayed here before and the accommodation is excellent fabulous breakfast and a restaurant menu to die for.

We stopped over at the pub for 2 nights while riding our road bikes around the New Forest. The location is very handy for Beaulieu and the museums as well as the open countryside. The pub was really busy when we arrived with a wide range of clientele and a great atmosphere. The landlord and staff went out of their way... More
