A wonderful welcome from the host, and the window of the room looked out over a beautiful garden and wonderful hillside views. The room was comfortable and pleasantly furnished, and I slept well, with the pleasant morning chorus of birds providing a wonderful soundtrack once I'd woken. A great choice of options for a traditional cooked breakfast, and should I...

I stayed at the Bowens B&B for one night to avoid the stress of a long drive before an interview locally. I just wanted a nice quiet night to prepare for my meeting, but my short stay was so much more than that. I had such a warm welcome from the family. My room was a delight, so well appointed...

First off, the village of Fownhope is so charming that I kept expecting a dead body to turn up. That's because most of my exposure to villages as charming as Fownhope has been through BBC detective shows. But I digress. The room was comfortable and well appointed, the hosts were friendly and efficient. It's a great place. I echo the...

Usually a hotel girl I have always steered away from b & bs however, after staying at Bowens b & b I have definitely changed that view. We were greeted on arrival with a warm welcome and shown to our room which was a light and airy courtyard room , immaculate not a speck of dust anywhere and toiletries which...

We stayed at The Bowens for a wedding in one of the very comfortable courtyard rooms. There is everything that you could possibly need plus an excellent breakfast with local produce. Suffice to say that the pork sausages were the best I have ever tasted! If you're really lucky you may get to throw a ball for Bella the Labrador...

We actually live(d) in Fownhope when we stayed here for 2 nights last week.Sadly we have now moved out of the area but wanted somewhere to escape the packing up of our house each day! We must have driven past hundreds of times and seen the lovely house but we were still pleasantly surprised at how nice it is ....
