Breakfast was mediocre, room service: they did not have what was on the menu. Eden Spa was not as clean as expected. Contracted very bad illness after use of the spa. The hotel was not up to standards, and the reception ladies took a while to come up with the final invoice. Will not return.

We spent one night at Down Hall for a friend's birthday. Our room was small but comfortable and beautifully decorated. The staff were friendly. I assumed the spa on site was open to hotel residents but in fact is charged extra and was fully booked when we were there. There is a very small gym/sauna/steam room in the hotel basement....

A relaxed drive along winding country lanes, through villages where you may notice thatched roofs houses complement their contemporary counterparts, will lead you to almost miss the turn off to down hall. The drive opens out onto a wonderfully picturesque and delightful building with ample parking and beautiful grounds The reception area is simple the hallways have deep carpets and...

We spent a day and night here to celebrate our Anniversary. We upgraded to an Executive Room which overlooked the rear gardens and fountains which was a very good move as the scene was lovely. The room was large, very clean and well-decorated. Warm and comforatble... and very quiet! Had afternoon tea in one of the restaurants. This was home-made...

Stayed here on a Saturday night - could not fault it. The hotel itself was impressive, the room was huge (in the west wing) and the staff were superb. We had some drinks in the bar early evening and service was very good. Later on had a lovely meal - thought the quality of food was excellent for a hotel...

The room looked amazing, loved the large variety of coffees and teas in the room, bathroom had some hair on the slipmat, and bedsheet some marks, apart from that everything was very clean. Mattress was a bit small for the 2of us so spent most of the evening awake. We've only stayed 1night and as had a large lunch wanted...
