Tried to find a place to eat after walking our dog with my partner and mother-in-law. I asked if we could tie him outside where we could see him as he is no trouble. I really don't mind if the staff aren't happy with the situation, but the member of staff, who I assume is the landlord, was rude and...

Excellent value for money. Great clean rooms, excellent food/drink Perfect location in the heart of the old town. Friendly staff especially the manager Steve who looked after us the whole time. Definitely will return.

A gem of a pub: old fashioned charm and always a warm welcome, yet with a wonderful selection of excellent gins, whiskies and more. A very firm favourite that never fails to make you smile. Haven't yet tried the food but plan to, the menu is full of pub classics. This is the sort of pub that's sadly in decline...

My husband, I and our little baby stayed overnight at this hotel/pub. Stuff was lovely, helpful! We loved our room and food was amazing! I would definitely recommend their soup with crusty bread as a starter and curry (with added chicken) as a mine dish. Also, we really liked their dessert. Will definitely stay again at The Olde Kings Arms....

What a great find. A really friendly traditional pub with a great lunch menu. All the usual sandwiches and burgers, really delicious jacket potatoes with choice of fillings. Friendly staff serving which made this a perfect lunch stop. We will definitely be back.

This was an unplanned visit so hurriedly arranged. From arriving to leaving, Steve made us feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble. A special mention to Michelle, she made sure that everything we needed was at hand, was cheerful and really nice to talk to, in fact she was "good at her job". Thank you all, till the next...

I travel extensively for work and am tired of chain hotels, so it's always refreshing to find a nice, privately run place to stay. I picked The Olde Kings Arms pretty much out of a hat and I wasn't disappointed. It's a decent traditional pub with comfortable rooms and very pleasant, welcoming staff. The breakfast was excellent and service was...

We popped in for a lunch today. Amazingly friendly welcome with a fab menu offering home cooked food. It was all fresh and so yummy! I had a home made burger with sourdough bun, homemade coleslaw. It can with the best homemade chips!! Such a reasonable price for the most amazing quality. I will be going back regularly!
