I was in the only non- ensuite bedroom, a snug twin on the top floor. The rooms are nicely and newly decorated with tea making facilities and ikea furniture. Bed was good, shower nice and hot. There is a basin in the room but midnight toilet breaks involve getting dressed. Only other bugbear is the VERY loud banging fire doors... More

This pub is run by children, 19 year to 22 year old kids just out of education, the doorstaff failed their applications to the police force so they try and be big, threatening and intimidating. If you are a visitor to the island please be assured there are MUCH BETTER places to eat and much friendlier atmospheres in other pub/restaurants... More

I can only comment on the pub as I didn't stay in any of their rooms. Went to the Anchor Inn on the night of Germany playing France in Euro 2016 and it was packed. It's a big pub that seems to go on forever and we were lucky to get a table. That said, I can't say anything bad... More

So we needed help to call a friend we were to meet on the Island. Resorting to dropping into the Anchor to ask for help and a phone, we could not have been assisted any better. The barman admitted to having a mobile phone that was not so smart and therefore no internet, so he bailed up a customer and... More

I booked into the Anchor for a brief stay, room was bright and clean and was serviced daily. The pub itself is a friendly place with many characterful locals. The food was usual pub fare but not too expensive.I would certainly stay again. The one downside is that parking in the public car park is expensive but that is not the pubs fault.

Was wandering around Cowes with hubby and our little dog. Feeling hungry we couldn't find anywhere that would let us in with her. We came across the Anchor Inn and with trepidation I went in to ask if we could eat there as we had a small dog. I was greeted by a friendly young lady who said yes of... More

Dined here while visiting the area. The staff were friendly and went the extra mile. The food was really good and the menu had a good variety of different dishes. The ales are of good quality. A comfortable atmosphere with good staff and food. Value for money.
