My wife and I spent a week here on a walking holiday organised quite superbly by H F Holidays. We booked a superior room overlooking the sea enjoying lovely sunrises. It had been recently refurbished to a very good standard. The staff were first class led by an excellent manager, and the food was excellent too. The local draft bitter... More

We stayed for 4 days on a guided walking holiday. Room 42 has been refurbished, decorated in pale blue and cream. Beautiful views over the bay, and hotel heated pool. Food was excellent, staff friendly and helpful. Room large and comfortable. Great walks as well.

We stayed at this hotel from 13 to 16 September, I could not find any fault whatsoever, the staff are cheerful and cannot do enough for you, even offered us swimsuits if we had forgotten ours, which we hadn't, they gave us white bathrobes for around the pool and as many clean towels as you wanted. The first night we... More

A Holiday Fellowship house with loads of walkers but they take independent guests as well. Stunning location with views of the sea and chalk cliffs. Bedrooms were newly refurbished with very comfortable beds, marvellous hot baths - more like a four star hotel than my memories of HF holidays fifty years ago. The breakfast choice was outstanding and the staff... More

Second visit to this great location. We stayed in one of the refurbished rooms which was first class. New decor, shower room and beds. The food is mostly locally sourced and the breakfast has a huge selection of healthy choices together with the usual cooked breakfasts. Staff friendly and helpful. Fantastic location.

Lovely Hotel with lots of character. We had a beautiful room on the top floor overlooking the bay, wonderful views. The hotel is being refurbished over the next year. Staff were all very polite, food excellent, cleanliness first class. Lovely walks down to the bay. Could not fault this hotel & will be coming back.

Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights with my husband at the end of March. What a lovely hotel, the bedrooms have recently been refurbished and are in excellent decorative order. Our room looked out over the sea and had a gigantic super kingsize bed. Breakfast was included which was very nice and the hotel also has a small cafe... More

We had a fantastic Easter break. Booked in for a self guided walking holiday. Our room(21) overlooked the bay, lovely view. Big comfortable bed, great decor. The food quality is superb. The walkers choose the sandwich/baguette filling they would like the day before, you then have the best choice of homemade sausage rolls, crisps, fruit, energy bars, chocolate , cheese.....too... Perfect retreat even though we weren't on a walking holiday. All the staff are welcoming, friendly and very helpful. Would definitely recommend. The grounds are beautiful, direct walk down to the sea. Play area for children. Variety of lounge rooms for relaxing in the evening and the evening meals were very good.
