We had intended visiting this pub before but not had the chance. As we were nearby we decided to see what was on offer. We had not booked but arrived at 6pm and was shown to an available table - two tables reserved - and the pub was reasonably quiet as it is rather "out on a limb." Pleasant and...

My partner ordered partridge which was very dry and tough and he finished up eating hardly any of it, and I had prawns with noodles, which I think were tinned. I'm afraid neither of us like complaining so kept quiet but we would not have a meal there again. It wasn't cheap either!

We stayed for a night in the middle of a two week stay on the Isle of Wight. The welcome and room were very good, Nick was pleasant and helpful and the room was fine, a bit tired in places but nothing to complain about. We ate in the pub in the evening and apart from a wait for dessert...

Visited at a lunchtime and had a lovely ploughmans but our return in an evening was very poor. We pre-booked and told the staff that we were going to be having the seafood platter in case they needed to order the lobster. When we arrived we found our table was in a corner of the public bar next to the...

The food was by no means bad, but it wasn't exceptional. The portion sizes were good but not tasty enough to make me want to return for the money it cost. The food was bland, even the puddings! I get the feeling the seafood (which we didn't have) was the main focus and to be fair the people that had...

This is a lovely place to have lunch, small but cosy, striped wood interior and excellent seafood. It's a bit on the expensive side but then it's aimed squarely at the well heeled market . There are some reasonably priced dishes and the beer is well kept .

We were staying on the campsite opposite and had tea here on Sunday. The menu looked so attractive we were spoiled for choice. In the end hubby had lamb and I had pork loin and they were both delicious! The meals came with veggies on a side plate to share and there was more than enough. We were stuffed until...

When did this pub so disastrously change hands? Our last visit was 2014, having also visited in 2012 and 2013. Back then, you received a very warm welcome. There was full waiting staff service in the garden provided by very friendly, professional staff. They would pass you a menu you could read from the card, and took your order for...
