Firstly, the lady behind the bar did not know what a St Clements was. I don't blame her at all, but I do question her training. Secondly, we had to wait 45 minutes for our meal, which we were not warned about. Food nothing special. My husband was not keen on his burger, I was not too keen on the...

Visited The Port Arms for the first time.........and the last. Waited an hour for our food and the pub wasn't even busy and the meals ordered were not more than snacks so can't see why they took so long. Ordered a simply Panini which came out cold so I asked for it to be toasted, 15 minutes later it came...

Chose this pub for a quick beer to avoid the Shepherd Neame monopoly that East Kent towns suffer. It may be okay for a lager but the ale was dreadful. Tasted the guest ale and it was off, vinegar tasting, so opted for London Pride, lets face it no pub can have (its only) two beers off at the same...

Love the Thai Mussels !! Never had a bad meal here yet. Service is always friendly and ambience is great, especially if you get the window seat. Another of our favourite eateries 😊 Good value food!! In the summer it's lovely to sit outside and watch the world go by and look out to see. An all year round family...

Been local to Deal I have been here an multiple occasions and is my go to refreshment hole especially when the sun is out. Food is good and fair priced with good selection. Have been Child friendly anytime we've sat for a meal. Great place on hot summers days. Great Live bands on Sunday evenings.

My boyfriend and I have just spent two nights at the Port Arms when visiting Deal for a wedding. We usually go for large hotel chains so staying here was a change for us. The location is fantastic - right on the pier and close to station. The room was clean and cosy with an amazing sea view. The staff...

Has the Fire Brigade actually inspected this place ? We sat, alone in the pub, (apart from a toothless elderly lady drinking herself to death at the bar) which was probably the first tell tale sign, when my eyes were drawn to the ceiling. The entire back of the pub ceiling was a mass of plywood hastily and hap hazardly...

Hello As you have said the ceiling is temporary plyboard and the carpet is missing, i totally agree my beautiful pub looks awful at the moment. We had huge leak a couple of days before which brought down the ceiling and destroyed the carpet, my sofas tables and chairs. What you saw is what i have managed to put together...

Shame on me for not doing research on this B&B. Needed a night's stay and Port Arms just so happen to have accommodations for 80-sterling. Things were off to a great start, a spacious, smartly decorated room with a beautiful view of the channel, however it was downhill after that. The owner did mention our room was above the pub...
