We have never been here before, although my wife was born and raised in Deal. It was only because the usual place we go to was very expensive that we thought that we would try here, especially as it was cheaper. Gordon Bennet, did we get a surprise? As we arrived at the reception we were greeted with a lovely...

We love this hotel, Natasha and her team are the best. Beautiful room, the balcony rooms are just amazing. The breakfast is wonderful especially the bubble with poached eggs yummy. We had Sunday roast which was one of the best beef roasts I have had. The restaurant manager was very efficient and lunch was Served well. Always busy and lovely...

our room was fantastic, big warm inviting superb...We did gat married at the Royal 27 years ago. We were very let down by the different standards of breakfast. Day 1 was not bad, the waitress could have been a bit more with it, to try and understand what her customers wanted, . Day 2 was again totally different The order...

Enjoyed a one-night stay at this historical hotel during a long coastal walk. Stayed in room 113, called Merton. Huge room, plenty of space, massive bed, loads of pillows -- all good quality. Big bathroom with Victorian-style high-back bath. Sea view, although partly blocked by the rear extension (I did not have a balcony room). Nice to be able to...

Used to live in Deal so know the hotel well, came back for a celebration and finally stayed here. I am pleased to say we were not disappointed. The room was exactly as it looked on the website, tastefully decorated, big bed, spotlessly clean with good toiletries and fluffy towels. Fresh milk delivered to our room early in the morning...

We stayed recently and were very surprised to be offered an upgrade to the Hamilton Suite which was a real pleasure. Like a previous occupant it was some what disturbing when the kettle boiled early morning making me get out of bed and switch off at the plug. If staying remember the plug or it may be Lady Hamilton? The...

What a great hotel! I can't believe it's only rated a 3 star? It's 'ye olde charm' meets the modern world! Lovely creaky floorboards, log fires and a 'Basil Fawlty esque' reception :) mixed with giant beds, showers and baths. Oh and I haven't mentioned the views? Amazing wee place! Thank you xx

Spent one night here recently with friends and had a terrific experience. We had booked the three adjoining balcony rooms overlooking the beach, ours was the largest (Hamilton Room). We had a lot of fun despite the chill. The balcony had heaters, tables and chairs and if you wrapped up warm breakfast could be served to you here. The room...

We stayed at the Royal Hotel for just one night, but could have happily stayed longer. Myself, my husband and our two young children shared a family room which was lovely, with a really big bed for us and the kids had proper single beds. The room was light, modern and very clean. It was well stocked with tea, coffee,...
