We stayed in the student rooms for £20 a night per person including breakfast, Carole was very nice and accommodating, who could ask for more! Right on the beach super conveniently located over side of the street from margate train station!

This is a lovely old hotel. It’s right on the beach, clean, safe, and Carol is a wonderful, helpful, funny landlady. It is easily the best value for money in Margate. We will definitely be returning to the Nayland Rock.

This hotel was in a great location, a short walk from all the main attractions, Dream land, the Turner gallery and many lovely small galleries in the town. It also had a beautiful view of the sea which unfortunately couldn’t be seen from the room...More

We had sea-facing room with access to shared balcony where smoking was ok. We did go out of season, though.. no one else using balcony. Check with hotel manager..
