Our first time in the Kent area. Loved the ambience and location of this property. Barn conversion is very interesting with quirky dining and lounge areas. There are a variety of rooms for guests to select according to personal requirements. The secluded garden at the back is lovely. The breakfast was excellent and we enjoyed meeting other guests. Staff were... More

Wonderful place to stay. Good sized clean room with comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast with good choice of food. Very friendly staff. I will definitely return to Tonge Barn next time I stay in Sittingbourne and would have no hesitation in recommending to my friends and family.

Spent a night here in May for a local celebration and enjoyed it. Our room was out in the back and was a good size with a good sized, comfy bed. It was peaceful, with a good balance between traditional feel and mod con. Room was also clean and the only negative I have is that there was no door... More

A colleague of mine spent a few days in this hotel and whilst I did not sleep in the hotel we spent many hours working together in his hotel room. Plus Points The location of the hotel is great being out in the countryside near the Tonge Mill where generations of local families have brought their children to feed the... More

I know that this isn't high end value and in many respects Tonge Barn is good value, but...I was in one of the garden rooms and the walls are paper thin. Who ever was in the room next to me kept me awake with their nocturnal visits to the toilet...every movement easily heard! Also the train line is so close... More

Everything about our stay made us want to come again, the room was excellent, the staff polite and helpful and the area peaceful. There isn't really a lot to do in the immediate area but if all you are looking for is a nice quiet romantic place to stay to simply enjoy the pleasure of your partners company then this... More

Upon reading the most recent review, I cannot believe I've stayed in the same place. I stayed with my partner for Valentine's day & it was the perfect romantic break. The room was spotless, the bathroom was clean & fresh, & the bed was very comfortable. We certainly couldn't smell anything unpleasant & I was impressed with the quiet ambiance... More
