The house is 500 years old and very quaint. The host was great and served a comprehensive breakfast. We were there to visit a local vineyard for a wine tasting, the only downside was that we were unable to book a taxi as they were all fully booked. My advice to anyone doing the same is to book a taxi before you travel so as not to be disappointed.

We had a one-night stay at Little Dane Court, in July this year.

We'd very much recommend it.
It's a comfortable place to stay, with plenty of character and original oak beams with lovely garden.

The owner of this B & B is very welcoming, and knowledgeable about the local area. We had a delicious cooked breakfast next morning, and he's ideally situated, on the High Street. We visited Chapel Down Vineyard while there.
He was also happy to recommend a reliable taxi company who do regular trips and from the Vineyard.

We would definitely come back, if visiting Tenterden again.

Housed in an ancient building close to the High Street this small bed and breakfast was a good place to stay for our visit to the Chapel Down vineyard. The beds were really comfortable and the accommodation gave us everything we needed. As a historic house, be prepared for sloping floors and no key to the room, but this was all part of the charm. Fortunately the weather was good enough for breakfast in the courtyard garden with its Japanese influences. Parking was available on site.

We stayed in the so-called de-luxe suite and whilst the en-suite bathroom and shower were excellent and the room as a whole was really clean the bedroom and sitting area was disappointing. Whilst we have had a lot of rain recently the room was damp which was a shame as there is under floor heating. The room is bounded on one side by the courtyard where the owner serves breakfast to all guests on warm mornings and on the other by next door’s driveway. The bed is very low which guests need to be aware of.
The breakfast is adequate but no fresh fruit.
Overall this is not luxurious as advertised.

We booked Little Dane Court as we were attending Chapel Down for a wine-tasting tour. Little Dane was about a 10-minute taxi ride away.
Situated in the heart of Tenterden, Little Dane is a 15th century building, that runs as a B&B. It’s located about a 4-minute walk from the village centre, which has a variety of pubs and restaurants. It also offers private parking, which sits off the main road, in a private, little courtyard.
Our room was oldy worldly, with a modern bathroom attached. Having browsed the other rooms on site, our room was the most dated by far!
The booking came with a complimentary breakfast which consisted of a full English and or a continental. We dined alfresco in the courtyard the morning of our leave and it was a pleasant experience, particularly with the weather being lovely. The tranquil surroundings just added to the experience and the breakfast was delicious. It was even made on arrival as opposed to pre-heated, which was a considerate touch.
Dom, the owner and his assistant (unfortunately forgotten his name) were very accommodating.
Slight criticism is the price. We felt it was a tad too high, considering we only stayed the one night - Especially as we couldn't check in until 4 pm, and had to be out by 10 am the following morning.

My husband and I enjoyed our one night stay at Little Dane Guest House. Rod was a perfect host and as soon as we arrived he greeted us and showed us to our room. He asked us what we would like for breakfast the next day and what time would best suit us. I chose a cooked breakfast which was very tasty and the sausages were bought locally in the high street. The Guest house is 550 years old and comes with some history which was interesting and the garden has a beautiful Japanese theme. The beds were very comfortable. Everything was very clean and it felt very cosy. Thanks for making our stay a pleasant one Rod.. Paul and Carrie 😊

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at Little Dane Court for a weekend, whilst attending our god daughter’s wedding. We had stayed there 12 years ago, just as the current host, had taken over and had thoroughly enjoyed our stay then, hence the rebooking.

Very pleased that we did as the B&B lived up to all expectations and beyond. We stayed in the Front room, where we had stayed before and slept well in very comfortable beds. The ensuite bathroom needs to be seen to be believed and the bath is certainly the centre point of the room, is it possible to have bath envy?

The whole house is fascinating mixture of historical periods, which our host, Rod, was only too happy to talk about. The atmosphere is relaxed, calm and friendly. We enjoyed sitting on the enclosed quiet patio, as well as walking around the Japanese garden.

Breakfasts are relaxing and friendly with lots of opportunity to chat to other guests, if that’s what you want. I and our friends very much enjoyed the cooked breakfast, however there was no meat alternative for vegetarians.

Rod is a VERY charming host with a wonderful dry sense of humour, who went above and beyond to make our stay particularly enjoyable and relaxing. We will certainly stay there again and would highly recommend this a great place to stay.

This is a charming and quirky place. Rod is the perfect host - very friendly and helpful. I loved the old building and the Japanese furnishings. The cooked breakfast was excellent. The location is perfect - an easy walk to the steam train or anything else in Tenterden. We found the car park a little difficult (although others managed it with large vehicles) and the plumbing was a bit slow, but overall it was a joy.

Lovely house and beautiful garden, great base for our trip to Tenterden. We could hear other guests above us but it’s an old house and did not spoil our stay. Mattress and pillows really comfortable and room nicely decorated. Thank you Rod I am sure we will be back.
