We visited Tonbridge to attend a family Birthday birthday meal and stayed for only one night. We found the our room to be meticulously clean, comfortable with a very large bed. The shower was extremely good.. We only had a snack soon after a lunchtime arrival (because of early evening birthday meal elsewhere) and it was wholesome, tasty and satisfying....

I took my daughter and son-in-law out for a Sunday lunch and on the recommendation of work colleagues we went here. The pub is in a quiet country location and although very busy we were directed to our table without delay and had an extraordinarily wholesome lunch. The surroundings are very pleasant and the service couldn't be faulted. I really...

I've been to Carpenters Arms several times due to its convenient location on the way into Tonbridge and while the food is good and prices reasonable, the service has ALWAYS been very slow and disappointing. I visited on Monday 15th May at lunchtime as a booked group of 7 and the restaurant was empty apart from one other small table....

It's a pub and rooms so you'd think they'd be open till 10.30 or 11.00. I booked a week before and then got there at 10.45 (M3 closed etc) and it was all pitch dark and locked up. No note left for me, no phone call asking if I was on the way, nothing. Eventually got in through the back...

I stayed here for 4 nights with my parents to attend a family event. The location and rooms were perfect for us. While the pub is quite busy and there is seating outside, we didn't find it noisy and there wasn't an issue with patrons staying outside after closing time. The room itself was lovely and there was plenty of...

Excluding the pub part in this comment, I must say that the room was comfortable with a need in a short term to be redone. Our room had view upon the back yard, quiet in winter, but probably noisy (tables) at the spring and summer times. Easy to park (not closed). No lift. My conclusion: for a night, it's a...

Had a breakfast get together of 20 people, had an absolutely fabulous breakfast, staff were very attentive, all breakfasts came out at the same time, nice and hot. Lovely setting with candles lit and a log fire. Overall a fabulous breakfast, and superb venue.

Six of us met for Sunday lunch and had a fantastic table. The staff are excellent and although busy were still as attentive as ever, very polite and adapted menu items to suit our party. Most had the roast which was very good indeed with the meats being cooked well and the variety of vegetable was good to. All in...

We had a lovely Sunday lunch here recently, with all the trimmings! Picked this place because my Dad doesn't like roast dinners, and they have a really good selection of meals other than roasts on a Sunday. The roasts were to die for - the beef is cooked to perfection (rare and juicy) and the seasonal vegetables were cooked just...

An excellent place to stay for visiting the area. We found the staff helpful and the food excellent value. Our room was modern and clean. A strange noise was heard from time to time like a pump running but fortunately this did not happen during the night.
