I had the pleasure of staying at Alliston House over the Valentines weekend; everywhere else in Whitstable was sold out and we were a little apprehensive due to this, but needn't have been. Bob is a lovely B&B host of the old school: friendly, welcoming and unobtrusive. He went out of his way to accommodate us by pushing two twin...

I stayed here Valentine's weekend and the owner Bob couldn't have been more friendly or welcoming. He provided us with a helpful map of Whitstable which was more effective than Google Maps at getting me to the beach in the shortest time possible (under 10 minutes). The room was clean and tastefully decorated, with a large en suite bath and...

2 days before we were due to go we got a call from Bob to say one of the two double rooms we had booked some time before had been double booked and would we accept a twin room with the beds pushed together. We said ok but on arrival was shocked as to how much dust there was also...

We stayed here because it was the only place left with availability in mid August and I share the surname with the B&B (they seemed a little sensitive when this topic was raised though, as if I might try to claim the B&B as my legacy and make them leave immediately). The man who received us was quite kind and...

Nice big room, with seating, teas, coffees and biscuits in the room, and clean and tidy throughout. The owners make you feel welcome and are unobtrusive. We had considered taking our bikes with us and they also offered to store them for us to keep them safe. Breakfast is a hearty portion of sausages, bacon, eggs, etc. or cereals if...

My room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was good. Bob and Chris offered useful advice as well as a pen and fruit to take on my hike. The cost is very reasonable for the level of service provided. The location was particularly good for visiting my mother and within easy walking distance of the town centre. Tripadvisor reviews...

We needed to stay for my twin's funeral. They knew this from the off. No cards accepted! Cash or cheque - well I live in France and don't have a UK bank account! Rubbish. Hassle we just did not need. I asked for breakfast at 08:15. Fine, they said. Went down at 08:10. No coffee made. Would I like orange...

This B&B was lovely, warm and the hosts were very hospitable and friendly. The beds were really comfortable and we had a wonderful peaceful night's sleep. The room and en suite were spotlessly clean. The location suited our needs for our stay, but is in a very convenient location for all you need on your visit. The breakfast was lovely...

Breakfast, held in the conservatory which was a nice location was excellent. Great portion of food and happy friendly service. I would definately stay...
