We stayed in the holiday inn in Burnley last weekend and we can thoroughly recommend it as for a budget hotel it is extremely good value. The room and the general facilities were fantastic, while the choice of cooked breakfast was slightly limited the cereals and fruit selection made up for this and the room rate was only one pound more...

We stayed here for a short visit to Burnley to see family. The hotel was in a good location, fairly central. The rooms were nice, clean & in good condition. Comfortable beds. We particularly enjoyed the bathroom where you could close the door to the whole bathroom area, or use the same door to just close the toilet section off...

The hotel is conveniently located just off Junction 10 of the M65 not far from centre of Burnley, there is a large car park - no charge. All the staff that we encountered -during our three days there - were friendly and efficient. The room, the bar and restaurant are pretty much the same as other HIXs that I have...

I visited this Express at the start of June, this was my second visit the last was about two years ago. It's situated just off the motorway and is about ten/fifteen minutes walk into town. There is a large car park which is free. At check-in I was greeted immediately and was checked in quickly with a room on the...

Really friendly staff - very accommodating for our family. Ideal for dog walks along the canal. Good convenient location - accommodation the standard you expect from holiday inn. All in all pretty good.

Dear Clara B, Many thanks for your review, it's so nice to hear such lovely comments. We welcome dogs to the hotel and like you mentioned, the canal path is about a minutes walk from the hotel so perfect for the morning stroll. You just have to watch out for the inquisitive swans! We hope to see you again soon.

Worst hotel breakfast I've ever experienced. Disorganised chaos. No plates, no forks, no glasses..had to ask for each item. Only things for veggies to eat were toast, beans and scrambled egg. No tomatoes, no mushrooms, no veggie sausage, no hash browns, no fried egg, nothing. Tried to get an espresso from the coffee machine , message flashed up "no drink"....

Booked two nights last minute on bank holiday weekend as nothing else was available. I'm quite glad really as this hotel is very clean with great staff. Good rooms, nice bar the only negatives are the sofa bed in the family room wasn't very comfy and breakfast time was very busy although there were warnings it would be busy at...

Dear David A, Many thanks for your comments and we are so pleased to hear that you had a lovely stay with us. Like you mentioned, breakfast can get quite busy in the morning, especially at a weekend, but the traffic light system is in place to let all our guests know - this way they can pick the most...

I've stayed here before, but the whole experience this time around left me very underwhelmed. Start positive though, and there is plenty of car parking, and it is free. The bar area is light and bright. The staff are polite and diligent. The rooms I have a problem with, and the split between those rooms facing the M65 motorway, and...

I have stayed at loads of Holiday Inns, and Express's, but this is one I really enjoy. I like the location, canalside walks, motorway access. I like the modern design.
