Had a lovely mid-week lunch here recently. Pleasant, friendly service in the dining room. We very much enjoyed the selection we made, portions being of just the right size to leave room for dessert. We have previously been here for the afternoon tea which we also thoroughly enjoyed.

We came here for my friends wedding reception and the building looked so beautiful as we approached up the driveway. Then once we went inside the beautiful surrounds continued with feature fireplaces and chandeliers. Such a wonderful venue for a wedding.

We stayed for a family wedding. The wedding breakfast was lovely, the staff was lovely. The only fault is if you have elderly or disable people in your party. There are no lifts as this is an old building. No disable adapted room. And some one is very hard walking it is a bit of a treak up and down...

I have stayed at this hotel several times when travelling with work & each time it just gets better. The hotel grounds are absolutely stunning all year round. It's lovely to have a glass of wine outside in the summer, but just as nice when you look out the bedroom window on a crisp frosty morning! When I first walked...

Beautiful building, lovely dinner. Kids loved it and the staff were very attentive, couldn't be more helpful or cheery. Reception is one of the prettiest indoor spaces, soaring oak columns and a huge stone fireplace.

The complex and detailed arrangements were all taken care of very well and the staff were able to accommodate our every request. The food was excellent throughout our stay and the service was very good too. Big shout out for MC Dave...

The Mitton Hall staff were fantastic from start to finish. Our event co-ordinator was Jen Wilkinson and she was absolutely superb, generous with her time and offering useful advice. On the day we didn't have a single worry and the staff made sure everything ran smoothly. The Master of Ceremonies Dave was an absolute hero and made everyone laugh and...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A four star country house hotel providing luxury accommodation at the heart of the fabulous Ribble Valley. Our big idea for bringing this magnificent 15th Century manor house back to life was to take it back to its roots and make it feel like a home again. Somewhere that looks and feels like it belongs to somebody. Stunning interior design and decoration perfectly complement the ancient architectural features to create a contemporary country house hotel. Both effortlessly beautiful and unashamedly romantic. The ambience is quite unique. It is certainly luxurious and feels exclusive but the luxury and exclusivity are open to all. From a relaxing morning coffee or afternoon tea, to lunch or dinner and for everything in between. ... more   less
