My wife and I recently went on a wonderful coach tour of 7 of James's places, one of which is the Shireburn Arms where we began our tour. Our guide was the very knowledgeable historian Simon Entwistle who told us many fascinating tales about the buildings and area. We all enjoyed a delicious two course lunch at the impressive Falcon...

Visited Shireburn Arms this weekend as part of my birthday weekend. The pub itself was absolutely lovely, really cosy and well decorated. Food was great, definitely would recommend the fish pie! Good value for money. Didn't stay at the pub as sadly we can never seem to get availability. Would love to stay here sometime as the rooms look lovely....

My fiancé and I, along with other family members visited the Shireburn Arms for lunch in October 2016. We hadn't booked a table, yet we were met immediately by a charming chap who showed us to a vacant table and made sure we were comfortable by the fire. Our drinks order was taken almost straight away and we were given...

Nice food and pleasant for our Californian visitors. The young lad waiting on was charming and bey engaging and a delight however his manager who took to berating him in public is a bully and needs a slap. A nice evening apart from the abhorrent 'leadership'.

I went here this evening with my boyfriend and his family. The staff where a brilliant credit, very friendly and helpful. The garden was lovely with a fantastic view. The room we had the meal in was very cosy with a lovely antique style! Would be a place I would recommend, specially the cheese and bacon beef burger!

I stayed here with several colleagues from work for 2 nights as we were attending a training course. My room was not the largest but sheets and towels were of a very high quality, as the room was kept very clean. Shower not the most powerful and most of us had issues either with plumbing noise or kitchen extractor noise...

Attended a wedding here on a Friday all rooms were booked up by guests. The rooms are very nice if not a little tired. The wedding room was fantastic with French doors leading out to a patio with amazing views. Staff worked hard and provided a great service. My only complaint is that breakfast service was very slow with only...

Our walking group has had a wonderful 4 night break at the Shireburn Arms. We had 39 in our group and everyone was really impressed by the food, ambience and friendly staff, who really seemed to be happy in their jobs. Dinners were varied and ample with numerous clean plates, rooms were super and the whole experience for our group...

Couldn't recommend this hotel more highly. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Our room was beautiful and clean. We had lunch and breakfast at the hotel and both meals were delightful. I will certainly stay here again. A truly wonderful stay.

We popped in here for a quick lunch on our way home. I was curious what it was like after being taken over by James Warburton, as I love all his other places...I wasn't disappointed. Obviously as it was a Monday afternoon it wasn't busy so there was no real atmosphere but it was welcoming and nicely decorated. The staff...
