The room was far too hot. The bed was terrible too small with wooden sides which was an issue when getting in and out of bed. The pillows useless. Bathroom was fine. Views lovely. There was limlted choice of white wine which was poor quality and expensive to buy. Breakfast good. All in all will not stay here again.

Nice place. Charming pub, nice romantic rooms in true British style. Good restaurant but the service is truly appalling . The staff are nice enough, just slow and inattentive...Mars what could be a great experience Also the rooms have poor water pressure, a bit frustrating...

We visited The Shireburn for just one night. Met friends for lunch and enjoyed a generous lunch .The roast beef was delicious although the Yorkshire puddings were rather small. After lunch we checked into our room and were directed to a red door and told our room was up the stairs. No offer of help so we seniors had to...

Attended a Christmas wedding here, the venue seems looks like a lovely unassuming country pub but is even more impressive inside with amazing views across the valley. The games room downstairs is fabulous and leads out into the rear garden. The pub section is rustic and cosy. Food was impressive and good portions. The rooms were nice and a good...

A group of 14 of us stayed here 4th march for an evening meal and overnight accommodation. What can I say...the meal was fabulous, the bedrooms beautiful, great location, gorgeous country pub, but the most outstanding thing was the staff. Nothing was too much trouble even though the hotel was busy with a wedding, they couldn't do enough for us....

Delicious food, staff very friendly and a gorgeous country pub atmosphere. Best to book and they found welcome doggies! The burgers are outstanding as was the lamb, would like to stay here sometime as the lovely Inn has rooms. An old traditional pub, will definitely visit again.

Group of 20 or so for evening meal. Food plentiful and very very nice at a reasonable price. Nice atmosphere, dogs welcome in main pub. But for a large group you need to book early as the venue hosts a lot of weddings.

Since the weather has started to get slightly better we have taken the dogs for a walk around Stoneyhurst grounds then called into the Shireburn for a pub lunch! It's warm, cosy and all the fires are lit! It's a great atmosphere, very relaxing with a professional but not a stuffy feeling! The food is always lovely! I had chicken...

Popped in a couple of weeks ago for a late Sunday lunch... 2 x roast beef with all the trimmings, and sticky toffee pudding sundaes to finish - every bit was delicious! Lovely service and atmosphere, and good value. Will definitely return :)

Having little time to prepare for a visit to see a sick relative, I relied on the magic of TripAdvisor to find me a place to stay - the result being the Shireburn Arms. It's a little way out of Clitheroe - further than I had imagined - in a cosy village surrounded by beautiful countryside. It has the perfect...
