We attended a 50th Birthday Party meal and had not been to the hotel before.Full of old world charm and great service. There were 16 of us but the drinks order and the food order was taken meticulously and the food was timely, looked beautiful and was delicious. We did not stay in the hotel so cannot comment on the...

Had a really lovely afternoon tea at Astley Bank. Got a voucher for it as a birthday present. Can't fault the service or the food. Sandwiches were lovely, big and chunky with gorgeous filling and cakes were heavenly especially the scones with jam and cream, best we've tasted in a long while, just right, warm, light and crispy. Endless cups...

Great for Sunday meal, have to book though. Becoming increasingly busier. Varied menus for Sundays. Have tried things I would never normally do but have come to trust the chef with his amazing twist on things.

This was our first visit to Othello' s Restaurant situated within the hotel to celebrate a family birthday - and it won't be the last. I could not fault the hospitality, food and service. Our meal was fantastic, including canapes before, and truffles with our coffee to finish. My husband commented that his fillet steak was the best he'd ever...

Stayed 3 nights late January & was very impressed with room, food was excellent, but most of all the warm friendly service.Nothing was to much trouble for the staff & they were all so friendly- what a great asset for the hotel. Obviously hand picked by the management for their efficiency , but also their willingness to help in a...

Astley Bank gives a feeling of a lovely country hotel without being in the country! Pleasant greeting on arrival, lovely areas for drinks prior to eating. The food was delicious . The restaurant was very busy, the waiters and waitresses attentive ,but we felt there could have been more supervision by a restaurant manager to ensure overall running of the...

I booked this hotel for my Mum's 80th birthday as she and her friends are local. We were given a lovely little dining room, really cosy and warm. Our waiting staff were first class friendly and professional we felt very welcome. Our food was excellent and so well presented. I had a vegan risotto which was soooo nice! They can...

We stayed at the Ashley Bank on a recommendation of a friend, we were not disappointed. The staff are friendly and polite, the rooms are well appointed and the bathroom quite large. The road to the hotel is shared and could be difficult to drive up in ice or snow, there is ample parking and some lovely grounds surrounding the...
