We stayed two nights to explore the Lune valley. We had a pleasant room overlooking the main road with good ensuite facilities. Tea, coffee and biscuits and complimentary bottled water. Bathroom: Very hot water and excellent shower. The church clock does ring on the hour all day and night but didn't prove to be a nuicence. The staff were efficient...

What a contrast, lovely evening meals on 2 nights and poor breakfasts on 2 mornings. First morning I ordered a full English and made a point of having a runny yolk if possible. Waitress agreed that runny yolk was best and said she couldn't understand anyone having a hard yolk. Then she brought me out a nuked fried egg. Bottom...

I had a meal, very nice, had a look at the rooms, stunning, lovely place, area great for exploring Lancaster or the lakes. Quiet little quaint village, friendly people. A deep bath sat on slate was something my wife would adore

This is a lovely property, tastefully renovated and very smart and stylish in appearance. We stayed in room three at the front of the property, there was minimum road noise unfortunately accompanied by the church clock that chimed on the hour!!. The staff could not have been friendlier and welcoming, the food served in the restaurant was absolutely fabulous and...

We booked a family meal for 9 of us for Saturday 17th December. when we called to reserve the table we were asked to pre-order our meals and, on this basis, we asked if the early bird offer would be available, as we were ordering over a week early! After a little bit of "too and fro" the restaurant kindly...

A friendly welcome on our arrival, we were shown to a great room. The evening meal was great, accompanied by a well recommended wine. A fine breakfast the next morning. Again that night we enjoyed a well cooked meal. Unfortunately we were only there for two days ! We will return.

What began to be an eventful trip due to roadworks on the M6 turned into the most memorable, relaxing weekend at the Castle Inn. Special thanks to Manager Neil and a lovely employee Leanne who did everything they could to make our anniversary weekend as special as could be and also to a local customer Chris (who managed to direct...
