Huge shame that it isn't a great revue because the venue is lovely. The waiting staff are nice, but it takes a very long time to get anything done, i.e taking the food orders & correct cutlery being put on the table. The food took what felt like a lifetime to come out, the starters were delicious but the mains...

My partner and I stayed for one night at the Castle Inn and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms were beautifully decorated, we had a fantastic three course meal in the restaurant downstairs and breakfast the next morning was lovely. The service was great and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The location is very quiet and peaceful....

We felt that we were lucky to find somewhere to stay at the last moment (we phoned about 7.00 pm) and found the room very clean and comfortable. The meal was lovely and the staff were extremely helpful. We would certainly feel confident about recommending the Castle Inn.

The Castle has been through many guises and this latest one is turning out to be very good. I had heard things about service not being great but that was not my experience - great food, a lovely place to eat and great service too!

Had a Saturday evening meal here with firends having prebooked. The restaurant was only a quarter in use and when shown to our table it was next to a young couple aith a small child who were just starting to dine. As some children are they were a little noisy and we felt quite cramped in being shown to a...

Great place to relax and unwind. The food was top notch and the staff friendly and polite. Would recommend to all......the staff member called Shane is an asset to the Castle Inn Bistro. The interior has been renovated to a high standard of finish so it makes it pleasant on the eyes.

Me and my partner stayed here on 13.2.16, as our first night away from parenthood. The room was warm, cosy and romantic, very timely and well decorated. We didn't venture out, we stayed downstairs and enjoyed a wonderful 3 course meal. The owner was extremely generous and offered us a complementary bottle of bubbly...which made our time together very hazy...

Fantastic food: the tastiest nut roast I have ever had. Starter of squid with fennel seeds very different and yummy. Very good value too: £12.95 for 3 course Sunday lunch. Allowed dogs into the pub area. Very friendly. I recommend people give it a try.
