Travelodge Kings Lynn Long Sutton garners praise for its spotlessness, with many guests commending the cleanliness of both rooms and bathrooms, albeit a few remark on the need for minor updates. The hotel's tranquil location is popular for its proximity to eateries and thoroughfares. While the rooms offer a modern touch with scenic views, guests have called out for additional in-room amenities and better outdoor aesthetics. The service is generally lauded for its friendliness and efficiency, but some visitors have experienced less satisfactory responses to their complaints. Overall, reviewers recognize the establishment as a good value with secure and cozy accommodations.

We were greeted by a very friendly helpful receptionist, who was well screened. Hand sanitiser was available and instructions to wear masks were evident. Our room was adequately furnished and equipped in addition to being spotlessly clean . The bed was comfortable with good and well laundered bed linen. The bathroom, although very clean, was a little tired.
All in all, I could certainly recommend using the Travelodge at Long Sutton.

Me and my husband stayed for one night in this hotel whilst visiting family. For this standard of room i would usually rate as 3 star, however for £29.99 for the night it is definitely worth the 4 stars.

Rooms were not modern, but they were quiet. A fabulous eatery called Bennys diner just across the car park, we ate dinner and breakfast there. And it looks like a Starbucks is also coming soon.

So all in all a fab little find. Would have been better if there was air con, but i couldnt find any hotels with air con in the area. Im not sure how i would cope in the summer months. But for autumn and winter this hotel suits me just fine.

On arrival I thought we had all you can eat bfast. They only do cold boxes. The Bennys Diner next door is nothing to do with the hotel but the food is absolutely amazing inc the bfast! If you want nibbles go to the local Tesco as the petrol station Londis is very expensive.

The garage seems to be a haven for local idiots wheel spinning so try and get a back room if you can.

We were given room 6, a pet room, its stank of wet dog and dogs urine so got moved to room 11. Much better. CHECK BEFORE YOU GET THERE. I have allergies so it wasnt a great start.

The bed and bathroom were very clean but the soap in the dispensers are rank, so take your own.

The staff were really lovely but they are let down by the tired shabby decor, the doors, frames, skirtings and carpet badly need replacing as does the tired old sign outside.

Showers are easy to use and powerful but the bath is rather small if like me your'e a bit of the broad side?

Only had two t bags in the room and one towel when we were moved but Eden was brilliant, nothing was too much.

Wifi only able to use two devices so be warned.

A basic base that was clean but is desperately in need of a refurb to echo the staff efficiancy.

We have stayed at this Travelodge many times and have kept coming back because it’s been a nice, clean friendly place to stay, However, in two separate stays this month we have arrived and opened the door to a distinctly unfresh and unpleasant smelling room. On the first visit it smelled of sweaty feet/locker rooms/dirty laundry basket. After spraying Fabreze and leaving them windows open a while it smelled nice, fresh and airy. But this should be the cleaners job not the guests!!!
Everyone makes mistakes sometimes so we just put it down as a one off bad experience. Unfortunately when we visited on the second occasion this month, we had almost the same experience. On arrival the room smelled unfresh, like a heavy smoker had been in there. It took several hours of leaving the windows open for the room to smell ok. Again, we shouldn’t arrive being able to smell the previous occupants and do the cleaners job of airing and freshening the room. This Travelodge always used to have its own distinct smell of the air freshener or cleaning products used and the rooms smelled clean, airy and pleasant so this is really disappointing.
On our 3 night stay this month, we were given 1 and a quarter rolls of toilet paper which was not replenished by the cleaners during our stay and we had to ask for more. I’ve never, ever had to do this in a hotel before!! On our second stay there were just 2 part rolls of toilet paper, both almost gone. Being stingy on loo roll and expecting guests to ask for more if needed is a false economy in my book.
There was also a problem with lock in the door sticking and needing some force to get open. And one of the wall sockets was broken.
Yes, the receptionists are nice and helpful but that doesn’t compensate for skimping on airing and freshening the rooms properly and not getting the very basics right like supplying adequate toilet roll, fully functioning wall sockets and room doors that will open easily, first time with the room key!!

Hotel is in good location with entry of choice of food in immediate area. Room was very clean due to the efforts of Kimberley. Some Travelodge rooms in other hotels are way below this standard. Upstairs room facing fields helped make the stay very quiet and pleasant.

I booked a room for 2 adults and 2 children due to a local wedding. We quickly checked in at 4pm and were given a key, but did not go into the room as we wanted to get back to the wedding. When returning to our room at approximately 11pm, (with 2 very tired young children) we were stopped at reception and informed there was not enough beds in our room. We were given a different room key. We took all our luggage upstairs, to find the room provided only had 1 double and 1 single bed. I returned to reception, an apology was made by the receptionist, who then spent 5 minutes looking at the computer trying to find a suitable room. We were given an alternate room downstairs, moved the luggage, only to find the same problem and not enough beds. We returned back to reception and were given a third key, only to find… you guessed it, 1 double and 1 single bed. Once again I returned to reception, the receptionist spent a further 10 minutes trying to locate a room, repeating that the computer said there were an additional 2 single beds in each of the rooms and she didn’t know what to do. I offered to carry one of the put up beds from one room to another, but was told this wasn’t necessary or allowed. When being provided with the 4th key to “go and check”, I politely asked if she would check for me, as I was at the end of my tether. She returned with a big smile saying the 4th room was set up correctly. I imagine this was a very difficult and frustrating situation for her and she handled it professionally. Unfortunately, when we entered the room, it was very dirty. The floor looked like it hadn’t been hoovered, there was an awful damp smell and one of the coffee cups was unusable due to stains. Whilst I appreciate this is a “cheap and cheerful” travelodge, at just shy of 3 digits for one night, I expect to have a room with enough beds, to be able to have a morning coffee and not have to wipe my feet on the way out.

I have used this and many other travelodges before and never have i had such a bad stay. My room was very dirty thick dust around the surfaces,tv window sills and on tops of the side lights, thick brown dirt marks around the floor of the bathroom and behind the toilet.the tv lost all it's signals after 12am and never returns even the following morning. On checkout there were no staff only a board telling you where to leave your key,i called out to try and find some staff but to no avail i would never stay here again.

Arrived after 9.00pm having booked online about an hour earlier.

I was met by Nigel on Reception who was friendly and efficient in making sure I had everything I needed, particularly my prepaid wifi access.

I was allocated a room at the back of the building but a request for a first floor room at the front, overlooking the car park, was quickly accommodated with no fuss.

The rooms are equipped as you’d expect in a Travelodge and as per the website’s description. The bed was comfy and the electric heater worked well to warm the room on a chilly night.

Jess was on duty in the morning and cheerily restocked me with tea, coffee and milk, then presented me with my pre-ordered ‘Breakfast to Go’ box.

My pre-booked late checkout worked well and gave me a few extra hours for minimal cost.

Friendly and attentive reception as we arrived, plenty of parking close to reception and within view of the room. Lots of facilities within walking distance, plenty of eating options for all budgets. I really did expect road noise due to the location and nearby road, however, this could not be heard with the windows closed and surprisingly acceptable with the windows open. Overall a great experience from a budget hotel, the reception and help given by Lisa made it feel like we had arrived at an expensive, high end hotel. If you generally use Travelodge as a last resort think again as this was far in advance of just an acceptable experience, we will definitely stay here again when available.

Kings lyn Travelodge, with comfortable room, good shower, great beds, tv and wifi......what more do you want for a night or two.
Room was hot, as temperature outside was 25 plus. The staff had left curtains shut and a fan going, so when we entered the room things had cooled down.
People around kings lyn are generally friendly. Reception team and cleaning staff are friendly and helpful.....what more do you need.
