Unsure if this was just our room or the whole hotel throughout the night all I could hear was a constant noise like a toilet filling up which by 3am became unbearable if I was staying here alone and not with my family I would have left and slept in my car. upper floor corridor smells like gloss paint fortunately this didn’t effect the room which looked like it was last decorated in the 70s and probably cleaned at the same time.
Had the pleasure of working at this venue on their Christmas party night the venue is beautiful and the function room was very nicely decorated for a Christmas party the food looked amazing and the staff couldn't do enough for us but I think the dj Tom deserves an award he has got to be the best dj by far we have seen he was great to work with he has really good gear he looked like a celebrity and his dj skills were fab everyone singing dancing to all the right tunes nice work Tom hope to work with you again also lovely audience merry Christmas.
Staff at this hotel are great. Breakfast is cooked fresh and the eggs Benedict are very nice. Evening meals were all excellent except for the first night. I was here for a week and had seafood linguine on my first night. Tasty, but sauce was barely warm. Rest of the week was great. Lamb rump was excellent! All of the sweets were also great. What let the hotel down were the tired rooms. Stains on carpets, broken fittings and light full of insects. Worst of all was a terrible smell on second floor corridor. This meant that doors and windows were left open to try to air the place. My guess is there was a leak on a chiller battery in the HVAC system. Smell was very much like glycol (It's like gone off milk). The smell was there for the whole week and really let the place down.
If you want to celebrate a special occasion at a stunning venue, with delicious food, and fantastic customer service then this is the place for you! My sister and I booked the Foxfields Hotel for my Mum's 80th birthday party and we were not disappointed. From the very first phone call (enquiring about availability) the staff were fully engaged in trying to help. This enthusiasm did not waiver at any point during the preparations, or on the day of the event itself, and my Mum had the most glorious day with her 62 guests. The hotel is very aesthetically pleasing, feels special, is pristinely clean, the food is delicious, and the customer service is faultless. Our expectations were not only met but exceeded. Thank you Foxfields and keep up the good work!
What can i say apart from what an amazing hidden gem foxfields is. From first going for afternoon tea to my best friend having her wedding here. From start to finish I cannot fault them, nothing was to much for David,James Sam and Kirsten. We will be back
