Stayed here as a couple for one night. Room was spacious but needed a bit of attention in places. Food was excellent, both the evening meal and breakfast. Staff were great. Couldn't turn the radiator off which was annoying.

Two day visit. Allocated room 214. Hotel very friendly. Staff brilliant. Room was perfectly adequate, very clean (well done Sue) and bed was extremely comfortable. Food was excellent and well served. If pushed to find negatives - bathroom very small (but not a problem) and the main course on first night was served on a cold plate (but food was...

Thank you posting your review. I am delighted you enjoyed your stay with us. Apologises about the cold plate as this simply should have not happened and normally doesn't. Come back again soon as we shortly launching our "Spring" Offer - its another great offer !!!! Kind regards Richard and all the team.

Stayed here for one night courtesy of a groupon gift voucher. The offer was one night dinner bed and breakfast with a bottle of wine. The dates were limited and we had to pay £20 extra for a deluxe room as there was no standard rooms left for our chosen date. The room wasn't ready when we arrived at 14.10...

Many thanks for taking the time and trouble to post your review. I am generally pleased that you enjoyed your stay, and have noted the points that you have raised particularly that of the décor and the requirement for some remedial painting particularly that of the windows. I have noted your feedback with regards to pricing and tariffs, and whilst...

Very disappointed to find I had paid more than my friend and got a LOT less! (supposedly because I bkd through Booking.com, and not direct) We were up two flights of stairs and found it very difficult to carry our cases up. We hadn't been told about this, and wouldn't have gone there had we known. There wasn't a menu...

Many thanks for posting your review. I was sorry to read that overall you were disappointed with your stay. I have noted your comments and will review accordingly. I was very concerned that you feel you couldn't`t have had a just a main course, as I know the team would have obliged if requested. Likewise there is always someone on...

Hotel room was pleasant and very clean, public areas a bit dated but OK. Food was a big disappointment and we wished we'd dined out elsewhere. Evening steak was really poor and Full English bacon was dreadful, like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. A pity because these places live or die on their food and...

Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback. I am most disappointed that you have had a poor experience whilst staying with us particularly that with the food. We receive incredibly good feedback from our guests on the quality of our food and indeed the overall experience whilst staying with us. I can only presume that your steak...

We were given a voucher for an afternoon tea at Grinkle Park and decided to spend the night there as well, getting a really good offer for DBB and a bottle of prosecco. We were greeted warmly on arrival and had a walk around the lovely grounds before having our afternoon tea. This was served in a small room overlooking...

We have just returned from Afternoon Tea at Grinkle Park and have to say how disappointed we were. Service was not at all brilliant. Couldn't fault the sandwiches, very good selection although very filling. I thought afternoon tea was made up of small dainty cakes, but ours was 3 large pieces of very similar cakes - carrot, banana and sponge,...

Thank you for taking the time to post your review. Quite clearly I need to review the service of and selection of teas in more detail. Your experience does not reflect our normal offering and rest assured I will be taking remedial action to address this. Please do accept my apologises for this and rest assured I am addressing this....

Very peaceful location, within easy distance of the Yorkshire Moors and coast. Hotel has a quiet, gentle atmosphere and it is very relaxing to stroll in the grounds or sit by the fire. The staff are very helpful and friendly.
