A large party of us called into the Green Dragon whilst doing a round walk from Hawes to the waterfall. There was only one person serving very slowly on the bar and she actually turned one of the beers off because it was too difficult to pull We went later for a second round but she was so slow and...

Rang at 1pm to ask if they were serving food, advised they would be serving all day. Walked from Hawes with a 4year old and arrived very hungry, ordered drinks at the bar and asked again about food, advised to look at the specials board for options. Sat down and decided what to have to then be told, 'not doing...

Was really excited to visit this pub from the things ive read and heard. Me and my partner was going to stop of for tea here. We drove by but were confused as to weather the pub looked open or not (unusual for a pub) I decided to call and asked politely if they were serving food. She abruptly said...

This place could be an absolute goldmine under the right management. The waterfall is really spectacular and guarantees a good level of trade. The pub itself is atmospheric and spacious. However the present management is not running it properly. It was difficult to get served a drink and the toilets were blocked and overflowing. In the right hands this place...

Called here for a drink late afternoon and was promptly told we are closed but you can have one drink. When my wife asked if they served evening meals we was told if we knew when we wanted to come she would get some one in to cook. Its such a shame as last year this was a buzzing pub...

Went for a lovely walk through beautiful Hawes through to Bolton Castle stopping at hardraw force on the way. You have to go through the pub to see the falls so we thought we would have a drink first, not a good idea it was very clear that we were a nuisance for asking!! So didn't bother. The falls are...

The woman behind the counter was rude and I saw her make a child cry that came too close to the bar. There was a group of lads standing in front of the fire making the room cold and the owners did nothing. A really disappointing experience and I will never be going back !

This pub is 750 years old. Unfortunately it is for sale. But.....the lady and man behind the bar are most friendly and helpful. 9 kinds of beer on draught. Most of them "bitter" from the surrounding. Like Black Sheep and Theakstone. Around the fireplace you van sit and warm up when you did the walk to the waterfall.

£3.80 for a pint of Taylors is excessive but the building itself inside is like stepping back in time, huge iron range and low dark brooding ceilings, and years of smoke from the fire makes it pretty unique, pay £2.50 to visit the Hardrow Force is OK So glad that it hasnt been "Wetherspooned" and a fantastic pint of Guiness...

We have stayed at the Green Dragon before and had a really good experience. Lovely accommodation, warm and cozy pub, tasty food. Hence our decision to return. We were so looking forward to staying again. On arrival we were informed that food is no longer served. Not good news to hear. It would have been useful to have been told...
