Stayed here for one night on 3rd of February. To our delight we were upgraded to a suite which took our breath away.Thank you so much! Very comfy room with lovely bathroom and fantastic shower. Very nice hotel with great ambience. Drinks in the library and a 5 course taster meal was exceptionally good, all local produce. Lovely breakfast and walk around the grounds. Would definitely visit again. Already planning on trying out the Afternoon Teas later in the year.

We stayed here for one night on a dinner, B and B Travelzoo deal. Our room was delightful with a huge comfortable bed and a great view. Although the hotel is traditional in style, the bathroom and all amenities were very well equipped and modern. There were open fires in the lounges and comfortable seating. All the staff were welcoming...

I was lucky enough to celebrate my 27th birthday weekend here at Goldsborough Hall. The entire experience was just wonderful. My boyfriend had booked for us to stay here as a surprise birthday treat and I can honestly say it was the most perfect and best birthday I have ever had! Goldsborough Hall is not a hotel….it is a secluded...

Just returned from a night at Goldborough Hall a Christmas present from family which as we have no interest in "fine dining" would not have been our choice. As we would have expected we received a warm Yorkshire welcome at Reception even though Goldsborough Hall was surrounded in heavy mist, cloud & mizzle. We were pleasantly surprised to learn that the...

A beautifully refurbished hall in a manner that keeps with the age of the building yet embraces modernity. It is a short drive to the town of Knaresbrough where there are a variety of walks -only 3 miles to the outskirts of Harrogate along a lovely trail. Room was spacious with a lovely view across the countryside. Lovely linen on...

Beautiful setting for any wedding, staff were great and food just wonderful, we stayed in room "York " truly amazing loved every moment of being there. We stayed Tuesday till Thursday, nothing was to much trouble, guests borrowed irons and they were taken to the rooms on request. I would say drinks are a little expensive but apart from that...

First time visitors, and shall return. We found the hotel on Google as looking for a luxury hotel in Yorkshire. We were not disappointed. It is indeed a luxurious old hall with extremely welcoming staff. Fine dining is important to us coupled with good wine. GH has both. It only has about 12 rooms so it is intimate and the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Goldsborough Hall is a beautifully restored, privately owned stately home tucked away in the small village of Goldsborough, just off the A59 between Harrogate and the A1M. The 400yr old hall has had many residents through the years, being built for the high sheriff of Yorkshire, the last resting place of the eldest founding father to all thoroughbred horses and most famously the first family home of HRH Princess Mary, the aunt of our current Queen. ... more   less
