I booked this accommodation as a surprise for my husband's birthday. Unfortunately I did not check on the times of breakfast being served check out and check in times. When we arrived I asked what time was breakfast served the reply was between 8:30am until 09:00am. I replied that was early for a weekend.....the response I got......was there are plenty...

We stayed at the Victoria Hotel at the top of the hill. This was nice but pricey for what you get so when we found the Smugglers Inn had rooms (we ate there as it is one of the few places to eat a nice meal in Robin Hood's Bay, particularly on 18th December!) we had a look and were...

Food was nice but don't go for a relaxed meal. We were rushed through our meal because a second sitting had been book without us being advised when we made our reservation. This spoiled the experience entirely.

We were looking for a long weekend getaway and my better half spotted the Smugglers. It is an ideal place for a late season getaway, We arrived late afternoon and were shown to the apartment above the restaurant. The apartment was well laid out considering the size and was very homely, both my wife and I instantly felt at home...

Stayed here for two nights after visiting a couple of years ago for a meal. The restaurant is really charming dare a say quirky in a nice way. Limited menu but all homemade and delicious. We stayed in the studio which has everything you need. I will admit I did struggle with the bed too soft for me. But Thankyou...

The Wife and I had a lovely few days at Robin Hoods Bay staying in the appartment above the Smugglers Restaurant. Very clean, beautifully and comfortably furnished, well equipped and uber convenient. You couldn't ask for more. Add to that an excellent meal in the restaurant itself at a very reasonable price and you have one of the best places...

We stayed for two nights in the fantastic self catered apartment above the Smugglers restaurant. We couldn't have asked for a better location in the heart of Robin Hood's Bay. It was clean and staff were efficient and welcoming. We would highly recommend a meal in the restaurant too. Great food in a cosy, candle lit atmosphere!

The rooms are very old and because of that look very sleazy. Not to mention that they were all painted red like a ********. Our room was a bit dirty, especially the bathroom. The service is impatient and the breakfast was just OK, but by far the smallest we had in Britain. It all feels like they are doing their...

This was the last night after completing our coast to coast walk. I have to say that it was tainted by very unwelcoming service from the staff at both the Smuggles restaurant and the boathouse rooms (it is the same place - restaurant downstairs, rooms upstairs). We arrived at the hotel for dinner at 18h20 - 20 minutes delayed for...

The decor was very shabby, dust and cobwebs everywhere. There was no shower gel in the dispenser and the shower cubicle was black with mould. While we appreciate that the building is very old and like the quirkiness of some aspects of the room, we found that the room felt very damp and uncomfortable. We tried to air the bed...
