Lovely friendly welcome from Louise and Trevor. Nothing is too much trouble. So much choice for breakfast and beautifully cooked. Would highly recommend Clarence dene. It's in a good location. Lots of places to eat out.

Lovely welcome to us and our dog after our long walk. beautifully decorated room kind and helpful owners and an excellent breakfast. Vegetarian haggis highly recommended! Our dog was impressed with the dog bed provided too. Overall, a great place to stay.

The beach is dog friendly, there is the cinder track (old railway line) from Whitby to Scarborough , the Cleveland way along the coast , and lots of walks on the moors
