What a birthday present from my wife. An overnight stay at the grade1 listed Fawsley Hall Hotel and Spa set overlooking a lake in 2000 acres of landscape helped on by Capability Brown. The history of the place takes five pages in the guest information book. Brilliant pampering, very attentive staff at check in, dinner and breakfast. The spa treatments...

It was an absolute pleasure to return to Fawsley Hall. It's clear the staff love working there as the smiles and warm welcome are genuine. The hotel is impressive yet warm and cosy. Breakfast was always something to look forward to and was so good it made getting out of the fabulous bed worthwhile. We ate in the bar in...

Lovely hotel in a peaceful location. Great rooms with the most comfortable beds. Had an afternoon in the spa, we loved the outdoor jacuzzi. We had an excellent dinner in the evening and enjoyed our coffees in the stunning Great Hall in front of a roaring log fire. Breakfast was also a treat with an excellent buffet with everything you...

Hotel has interesting history and loads of character. Stayed in twin room on top floor of main building. Very comfortable with 2 armchairs and large TV. Huge bathroom but would prefer free standing...

Stayed on a spa break, which included overnight stay, spa access, 25 minute treatment, lunch, dinner and breakfast, for £130 each which was fantastic value. The hotel has an abundance of character, with an amazing grand hall with paintings of Henry VIII's wives displayed. The service is excellent, the staff are attentive. Couldn't fault any of the meals, although the...

We stayed here during half term and we had a wonderful experience. Check in was very pleasant and we were made to feel very welcome. Our room was fabulous with amazing views We were able to take our daughter swimming which she thoroughly enjoyed and my wife had a massage, which had her relaxed for the rest of the day.......

Not a great welcome on arrival and after struggling to my room with my luggage with no assistance offered, first impressions we're not good!! The poor experience was further confirmed when I returned to the room after dinner with no water and no turn down service. Really disappointing as the setting and countryside looked stunning! So poor and disappointing!

Me and my partner were looking for a luxurious rest and relaxation couple of nights away and we decided on booking here. We had previously stayed in the Grand Hotel in York and were very excited to stay somewhere in the countryside with nice scenic walks and heritage. We stayed in Room 54, we were offered a room swap to...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Steeped in tradition and history, Fawsley Hall Hotel & Spa in Northamptonshire is a beautiful country house hotel surrounded by formal gardens and parkland landscaped by Capability Brown in the 1760s. It was a home built for entertaining: Henry VIII, Elizabeth I and other monarchs all enjoyed its fine hospitality, and that tradition continues to this day. The hotel has been awarded 4 AA red stars and 2 Rosettes for its Cedar Restaurant, which offers a host of treats, not least of which is afternoon tea, a much loved tradition within our walls. ... more   less
