Steeped in tradition and history, Fawsley Hall Hotel & Spa in Northamptonshire is a beautiful country house hotel surrounded by formal gardens and parkland landscaped by Capability Brown in the 1760s. It was a home built for entertaining: Henry VIII, Elizabeth I and other monarchs all enjoyed its fine hospitality, and that tradition continues to this day. The hotel has been awarded 4 AA red stars and 2 Rosettes for its Cedar Restaurant, which offers a host of treats, not least of which is afternoon tea, a much loved tradition within our walls. Silverstone is only 25 minutes from Fawsley Hall and offers a variety of events throughout the year and a range of driving experience gifts. Racing Season: February – November

Fawsley Hall Hotel & Spa earns high marks for its immaculate cleanliness and sophisticated ambiance, with travelers frequently applauding the grandeur of its spaces and architecture. The hotel's amenities, including a luxurious spa and fine dining, are often praised, though some guests find the pricing to be a bit steep. Nestled amongst picturesque lamb fields, the location is deemed idyllic, making it a coveted wedding destination. While the service is generally celebrated for its professionalism, there are occasional calls for improvement. Room comfort is acknowledged, despite some mentions of outdated air conditioning systems.

Wow what a great looking venue stunning building and stylish Christmas decor. I attended a New Year's Eve Gala which included, 4 course dinner, music and overnight stay. Staff are friendly and not pretentious ( one thing I hate at period style hotels) The venue itself was stunning Tudor style character building that was warm and friendly. Open fires and very tall Christmas trees along with rooms that were not too big making for a snug type feeling. The set menu meal was very good quality. The chef changed some options for one of my guests at short notice. Wine was reasonably priced for a premier venue starting from £25. The NYE party was formal with guests wearing black tie. Rooms were modern spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was freshly prepared, I had smoked salmon, scambled eggs with seeded toast. All went down well. I never got to use the spa as it was not available on New Years Day until 11am. Check out time was midday which meant for a leisurely departure. Seems a car is an absolute must the hotel is located along a single track road miles from anywhere. This all is part of the charm of the venue

This hotel and spa is very good value for money; having regularly taken spa breaks away with my friend we concluded this to be very good value for money with excellent food and superb staff service and attitude.

The bedrooms were all very clean and the beds possibly the most comfortable Ive ever slept in! Nice touches included fresh milk for your tea and coffee in the mini bar fridges rather the those plastic UHT fake capsules. Such included the spa break was of a very high standard and taken in their restaurant; and having been greeted and made feel very welcome with a free cup of tea or coffee at the spa( 10 metre trot over the gravel from main hotel building); the treatments were really lovely and executed to a high standard in the spa.Nice outdoor jacuzzi pool as well as clean swimming pool and steam room sauna available to enjoy - plus a lovely quiet room tucked away if you fancy a siesta snooze before or after your treatments.

Staff in the lounge area couldn't do enough making us lovely G&Ts in the evening and setting my friend and I up a lovely table infant of the huge fireplace... board games available to play if you wish.

Nice walks available with maps from reception as the surrounding rural grounds lure you out.

My partner and I stayed here last Saturday night on a dinner, bed and breakfast package. We'd originally booked for April but had to reschedule due to the lockdown. It was well worth the wait! It's an immaculately maintained historic building nestled in tranquil countryside.

The staff, without exception, were polite and helpful, and went that elusive extra mile. For example, upon checkout the receptionist walked us to our room and took the time to explain the features of our room. Within 30 minutes she phoned and asked if all was okay. We asked for some more milk and a bigger size of flip flops for the spa. She brought both straight away.

Our room was in the newer building and was very spacious. It was on two floors with a vaulted ceiling and stairs up to a bathroom with a nice big rain shower and a raised bath.

We'd booked a timed slot for the pool and spent a relaxing 45 minutes mainly in the outdoor hydrotherapy pool, lovely warm water set in a tranquil garden.

Dinner was excellent: Pea and fennel soup, 'posh' fish and chips and a delicious chocolate fondant with banana ice cream for pudding. Breakfast was delicious too: Excellent choice from which I opted for smoked salmon with sourdough bread and butter and a full English.

Hygiene and social distancing measures were very thorough yet unobtrusive.

After checkout we walked across the field to visit the little parish church.

We would absolutely recommend this hotel.

We booked a valentines weekend at this hotel for a nice couples weekend. Upon arrival we immediately felt judged by the reception staff’s mannerisms. Perhaps we looked too common? Once checked in we made ourselves at home in the room. The room was decent with a lovely looking bathroom. The carpet however could have done with a deep clean, it had obviously been vacuumed but had a few worn in stains. The selection of teas, coffees and hot chocolates in the room was very good. We went to the spa to explore what it had to offer and found out we could not receive any massages because all slots were booked up for the duration of our stay - wow. Perhaps even a 15 minute guaranteed slot with the room booking would have been something? Instead we made use of the other facilities such as the pool, sauna and outdoor jacuzzi. These were fine but the pool was shallow and full of kids when we went in. Brace yourself though, before getting access to these you will need to use the communal changing room. Fellers, be prepared for men walking around in the nude for much longer than necessary with their meat and two veg out (while kids also occupy the room). I expected more class than this from such an establishment. Nobody needs to see this and it ruins the experience. The lockers are free to use but are temperamental and don’t always work. Breakfast the next day was average, it had a good amount of options but the room was awkwardly silent and the staff weren’t there to greet us when we walked in so we had to look around for someone to ask for a table and order our meals. The quality of the full English was fine but not reflective of the price and the same goes for the coffee.

Stayed here for a couple of nights as we were doing some things in the area. On our initial approach, part of the road was full of bad potholes but by the next day a lot of these had been filled in. From the direction we apporached it was difficult to find the entrance until we turned round and approached it from the other direction. The views of the hall are lovely as you drive up to it. The check in process was easily done and we had a really nice room at the top of the old building. All the staff were so helpful and pleasant throughout our stay. Although we didn't have one, the afternoon tea served in the Great Hall looked very special. We ate in the restaurant both evenings experiencing both the taster menu and the a la carte. Our friends who stayed on one of the nights used the spa and said it was fine. We did notice there were electric charging points in the car park which is a plus point for guests with electric cars. The downside was that we felt the price of the drinks was high even compared to city centre prices. Overall a lovely stay.

We had an excellent stay at the Fawsley Hall Hotel and Spa and thoroughly enjoyed the room, lovely food, drink and the spa facilities. Given the weather and limited opportunities to enjoy the outdoors, we appreciated having the more spacious feature room with excellent views. Staying in a beautifully restored manor house with so much history made the relaxing break even more special.

It was a pleasant surprise to enjoy the delicious and creative culinary creations with special effort made to cater for all dietary requirements. The cleaning protocols made the hotel feel very covid secure and we felt very comfortable using the spa facilities and pool. The room was well cleaned with a comfortable mattress and air-conditioning \ heating for a decent night's sleep and good shower and bathroom. Lots of nice comfortable seating in the lounge areas to relax and pretty local walks in and around the hotel ground. Despite staff absence due to covid, the team made sure all guests were well looked after. Look forward to a return visit sometime soon.

We booked the Elizabeth Hampden room which was one of the best hotel rooms we have ever stayed in. Large windows in two directions provided lots of light and great views of the garden and surrounding countryside. A large fourposter bed(very comfortable)painted in gold added to the glamour; the room and the bathroom were incredibly spacious and beautifully decorated.

We were greeted warmly on arrival and all the staff were friendly and efficient. I have a medical condition which requires a special menu and the Head Chef met with us over afternoon tea so that a delicious and safe menu could be arranged for our dinner. The Cedar restaurant had plenty of atmosphere and we enjoyed a stress free and romantic dinner with a table overlooking the pretty garden.

The Great Hall is an impressive feature and generally all the rooms were grand but charming and cosy at the same time. We were also impressed by the location of Fawsley Hall, surrounded by lovely countryside and within easy access of splendid country houses and gardens to visit.

We would highly recommend this hotel for the warmth of staff, glamorous rooms, delicious dinner and will return as soon as we can . A perfect place for a special occasion or an excuse to spoil yourself as there is a recently renovated spa to indulge in.

What a wonderful place to revisit. I'd stayed at Fawsley before for a corporate event and hadn't had the chance to explore for pleasure but boy it didn't disappoint.

We booked a 2 night spa weekend with dinner, breakfast and afternoon tea. The whole stay was perfect from start to finish. From the warm welcome by the reception staff to Matt and Mo at dinner and breakfast service. Everything had been done with care and attention to detail to make guests feel at home and relaxed in the most strange of times. One way systems, hand sanitising stations and temperature tests were all in place and impeccably followed (well done team).

The spa was also equally wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed our treatments, pool and jacuzzi time. It was being abroad, even the sunshine showed!

We can't wait to be back, thank you.

We stayed for a two nights on a spa break,
Spa was extremely good excellent welcome and also had treatment very good facilities.
unfortunately lunch was served with cheap sliced bread also found restaurant in the evening OK but not fine dining.
Hotel had lots of character and history but unfortunately room was tired and required decoration not quite the standard you would expect for the price you pay also being historic building floorboards very creaky would return maybe just for a spa day.

Thank you for your review, following a two night spa break at Fawsley Hall. I am pleased to read that you found the spa facilities and treatments to be of a good standard and will ensure our Health Club and Spa Manager receive this feedback. With regards to the other aspects of your stay, naturally I was saddened to read that the quality of food you were served in our Bar and Restaurant was not to the high standard we pride ourselves on. We are however introducing a new menu for the start of January and know our Head Chef and his team would be keen to demonstrate an improvement on this visit, should you consider returning. With regards to the bedroom, we will investigate this further with our maintenance team to review the décor. Again, thank you for taking time to review your stay. I do hope we will have the opportunity to welcome you back very soon.

Stay here for a two-night break over my husband's birthday. On arrival we were greeted at reception by Shannon, who checked us in and showed us to our room, which was in Knightley Court. Every time we saw Shannon, she always remembered us and called us by name. The room was a classic double in Knightley Court and was huge - with a separate bathroom/shower room upstairs in the roof of the building. The room had lovely wooden beams and a high ceiling, it was nicely furnished and the bed was very comfortable. It was also quiet. We had dinner in the Cedar Restaurant on the first night and the food was very good, nicely presented and cooked to our liking. We also sampled a few of the cocktails in the Tudor Bar. However, it was the staff that made the evening memorable, with their welcomingfriendliness - in particular Matt, the Duty Manager, and Petra, the Bar Manager. Breakfast was very good on both days, with a serve yourself cold buffet and hot food served at the table, again with very friendly staff. On the second day, my husband wanted an afternoon cream tea for his birthday, which we had in the Tudor Great Hall, served by George, and was very tasty. While at the hotel we relaxed in the spa, taking full use of the swimming pool and steam room for the afternoon. We also wandered around the hotel grounds, sitting by the lake in one of the many seats available, from benches to sun loungers. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Fawsley Hall, with great accommodation, very good food and excellent staff. The rooms and the history of the hotel are all very interesting, making this a very pleasant place to stay. We also felt very safe, as staff were wearing masks throughout our stay, as did we when wandering around inside the building, social distance was maintained and all areas were clean. We would definitely recommend this Hand Picked Hotel.
