Rooms, facilities and services were spotless, and the team were there at hand to assist with any enquiries.
Great breakfast too.
Easy to find, well signposted, and large car park in front of the hotel, which is free and plenty spaces.
Check in was swift and staff were friendly, professional and polite and explained everything clearly, eg breakfast/ check out etc.
Room was large, although, bed seemed to be a standard smallish double. We stay in many Hinn Express and this was the smallest.. Next time we may opt for a twin.
Room however, was clean, and standard hotel amenities. Bathroom was clean and shower good and powerful.
We didn’t make use of the hotel bar in the evening for food or drinks, but opted to dine in the “miller and carter” next door, which was very very good. Bear in mind that there is no where else around unless you drive into town.
Breakfast the next morning was pleasant. Not too busy, even at 9am on a Sunday morning. All food seemed to be cooked fresh and was replenished quickly. I especially enjoy the fresh hot croissant, delish!
Check out, like check in was quick and efficient.
Overall, a very pleasant stay.
Room was immaculate and a good size, bed was comfortable.
It felt well aired and very hygienic.
Blackout curtains were excellent.
Had the usual assortment of hot drinks and kettle but also a hairdryer, iron and ironing board which was a useful addition
Bathroom was well sized with a good shower and lovely gel washes at sink.
Staff throughout were friendly, courteous and professional.
Lady at breakfast was so happy and friendly.
Breakfast was simple but well-cooked and nice quality.
Great seller for this hotel is Miller and Carter across the shared car park that means you can take your evening meal there.
The sight of the hotel was welcoming to my tired eyes, The friendly, happy reception made me smile for the first time that day and the room was very welcoming.for I laid on the bed watching television and woke up early the following morning having slept over 12 hours!!!
HIE Breakfast is HIE breakfast but when you haven't eaten properly in the past 24 hours it was a feast!!
I stayed for two nights on business, my room was as you would expect from a holiday inn. Clean, comfortable with a decent hot shower.
I ate dinner in the hotel on my first night and the food was cooked to an excellent standard.
There is also a Miller and Carter immediately over the road which is also an excellent food option.
On a personal note I would say the staff at this hotel was excellent and for me pushes my rating to a 5 star. All the way from check - in, to serving dinner and drinks at the bar, they were always very friendly and polite and I was made to feel like a valued guest at all times.
I will be staying here again in a few weeks and I look forward to my next visit!
I would also like to extend a special "thank you" to Jordan, (who rang my room to let me know my food was ready - outstanding!), and to Chelsea, both lovely and always smiling. These pair went above and beyond to make me feel so welcome and made my stay such a pleasant experience. I hope the Manager reads this and realises what valuable assets to the hotel you both are and gives you both a pay rise! 😉
Tracy from Tamworth, Staffs - booked in name of "Puncher".
There's a Miller and Carter's restaurant just over the road too. The hotel is close to the A43 so it's convenient to get to both Kettering, the local attractions there, and there's a great many connections to various A roads from there.
Not much more I can say, it's worth the money, and it's got quite a few things within walking distance, an Esso garage next door and a Starbucks, the Holiday Inn also has a charging point station for electric cars.
"This hotel is usually busy and more expensive Monday to Wednesday. Free parking is available for guests. "Read full review
"Be sure to keep left at the junction approaching the hotel from Kettering as there is no right turn from the Corby Road. Dog walk behind the Salvation Army warehouse. "Read full review
