Reasonable price, starbucks next door and service station.
The only downside was given the room was more than large enough, why such a tiny bathroom with a bath a hobbit would struggle to fit into. I am 6'4 and had to do a leg at a time ....
Overall though it’s fine for what you’re paying and we’d stay there again, we’d just request a room far away from that door!
Got good night's sleep despite being off motorway.
Access from motorway only so not suitable for foot traffic; however recommended taxi firm was very reliable and competitive.
I returned to reception and was told there were no more twin rooms and on saying this was not satisfactory was told I could speak to the manager when they came in at 7.00 the following morning.
I stressed how long ago I had booked and paid and was then told the receptionist could look for a spare pull out bed but could not move it. I said we would move it, but was far from happy with the situation.
After checking several rooms a room was found with a made up pull out bed. No one had checked into this room and after a telephone call to the manager we were allowed to swap rooms. I was told that the receptionist would have to find another hotel when they checked in.I was also told the system would allow over booking.
I paid nearly 40% more for the twin room than the double and was disgusted that having paid well in advance we were almost forced to have a double not twin.
The bathroom in the double had a very squeaky floor which must be a nightmare for the room below..There was a smell of drains in the double room which cleared when the windows were opened.
Very local to many areas and easily accessible to A14 motorway and connecting areas.
Would benefit from its own restaurant as only offers cereal breakfast but Starbucks is next door but does not have that much choice of food for our needs.
There is a m and s food place at petrol station adjacent where things can be obtained so microwave facility would also be useful (hence need for restaurant option!)
Staff have always been very friendly and helpful here and try resolve and issues quickly.
Has a reasonably big car park but fills quickly in an evening especially if people pop into Starbucks!
