Beverley and Tim were excellent hosts, nothing was too much trouble and Beverley's breakfasts were excellent, lovely crispy bacon. The only drawback was having to walk a few yards to the lovely old farmhouse for breakfast as the rooms are in a converted stable block but we didn't find that a problem
Aldwincle is a lovely village and people are very friendly, every time I took the dog for a walk and passed someone in the street they never failed to say hello and sometimes would stop for a brief chat.
My wife Chris developed a problem with a very painful leg on the day before we were due to leave and found walking almost impossible. We told beverly we were considering going home a day early so that I could get Chris to our local A&E to see if there was anything serious, Beverly said of course we must and charged us for one less night than we had booked.
We can thouroughly recommend staying there, I can't imagine anyone being disappointed.
Thank you Beverley and Tim.
Nothing was too much trouble. I am gluten-free, and this was catered for without any fuss at all. ( Something I am not used to)
Both our breakfasts were superb with high-quality ingredients.
There is such a friendly, homely feel, and our room was perfect with added touches such as fresh milk in the fridge. Dental packs. Shaving packs.
Such good value for money.
For a 300 year old farm house, it was very warm, especially as the weather was very cold.
The room was spacious and smelt very clean.
As I was working away, I ordered dinner too. I don’t have any allergies and i’m happy with anything. The beef stew with mashed potatoes and cauliflower cheese followed by jam sponge and custard was hearty and traditional.
Breakfast was of the same home cooked quality.
I would recommend anyone to stay here in this peaceful farming environment, horses, sheep and all.
Thank you for everything, may you both have a healthy and prosperous New Year.
Great breakfast made to order.
A proper Bed and Breakfast in a beautiful village with great links to the network.
Will defo go back
Breakfast was plentiful and a great selection.
A really warm welcome by a lovely family. We would definitely recommend this as a place to stay. We felt like we were in a scene from ‘The Darling Buds of May’ it was perfect in every way.
Tim & Beverly were great hosts
Fantastic breakfast and dinner
Will be back next year same time
Would recommend it especially if your going to anything on at Peterborough Show Ground as its only 15 minutes away
