The accommodation was excellent, realy comfortable beds, tea, coffee and milk in room, it even had a small fridge.
Beverley and Tim were excellent hosts, nothing was too much trouble and Beverley's breakfasts were excellent, lovely crispy bacon. The only drawback was having to walk a few yards to the lovely old farmhouse for breakfast as the rooms are in a converted stable block but we didn't find that a problem
Aldwincle is a lovely village and people are very friendly, every time I took the dog for a walk and passed someone in the street they never failed to say hello and sometimes would stop for a brief chat.
My wife Chris developed a problem with a very painful leg on the day before we were due to leave and found walking almost impossible. We told beverly we were considering going home a day early so that I could get Chris to our local A&E to see if there was anything serious, Beverly said of course we must and charged us for one less night than we had booked.
We can thouroughly recommend staying there, I can't imagine anyone being disappointed.

The problem with finding a little gem is that you are hesitant to tell everyone else but this one is way too good not to..... on my recent visit to see an elderly family member received a warm welcome for my dog and myself from lovely host Beverley who is the farmer's wife; this is a busy working farm and they were lambing and calving when I visited. There is the amazing "Titchmarsh" 75ha nature reserve within easy walking distance just down the lane. Dogs are welcome at the accommodation and my dog had a wonderful time at the reserve (note: "dogs on leads" stipulated). My room was cosy & warm and as it was a cold snap when I visited I was certainly glad of the cooked breakfast! Lots to see in the local area; the farm is situated in a lovely Northamptonshire-stone village and there is lots to see in the local area. Refreshing to see so many footpaths too for ramblers and dog-walkers alike. Easy access from major roads and easy to find! Highly recommend. Was really sorry to have to make my way home after staying here. If I ever find myself needing to go to this part of the country again I will certainly be making my way here!!

Right from the start we knew we were in the right place. Friendly, accommodating, comfortable ........ and "farmlike"! Very good value, especially with the availability of a substantial evening meal to make it just the sort of place you might want to relax in and not bother going out.
Thank you Beverley and Tim.

I would highly recommend this place. We had a kne night stay due to a family function in oundle, which was a stones throw away.
Nothing was too much trouble. I am gluten-free, and this was catered for without any fuss at all. ( Something I am not used to)
Both our breakfasts were superb with high-quality ingredients.
There is such a friendly, homely feel, and our room was perfect with added touches such as fresh milk in the fridge. Dental packs. Shaving packs.
Such good value for money.

I phoned to book (which was only the day before). The welcome was as lovely on the phone as it was in real life.
For a 300 year old farm house, it was very warm, especially as the weather was very cold.
The room was spacious and smelt very clean.

As I was working away, I ordered dinner too. I don’t have any allergies and i’m happy with anything. The beef stew with mashed potatoes and cauliflower cheese followed by jam sponge and custard was hearty and traditional.
Breakfast was of the same home cooked quality.

Finding myself stranded due to flooding on Christmas Eve I contacted Pear Tree Farm as I was running out of hotel accommodation choices.SO glad I did.Tim and his lovely wife Beverely settled me into The Granary Room of a converted stable block.(All Covid safe).NOTHING was too much trouble for these two wonderful hosts.I felt safe and cosy during my enforced five days of being temporarily homeless.
I would recommend anyone to stay here in this peaceful farming environment, horses, sheep and all.
Thank you for everything, may you both have a healthy and prosperous New Year.

I was very happy with my 1 night stay at Peartree. It was everything you hope a farmhouse B&B would be. The welcome was warm, the room was spacious and comfortable. There was real milk in the mini fridge for tea and coffee. There was an array of choice for breakfast. I had the full english which was perfect. Plenty of local options for dinner but you can book an evening meal at the farmhouse which I'll be doing next time.

We stayed one night as we were at a wedding in Oundle. Beverly made us extremely welcome and nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in The Gear House. Very comfy and cosy yet spacious room.
Breakfast was plentiful and a great selection.
A really warm welcome by a lovely family. We would definitely recommend this as a place to stay. We felt like we were in a scene from ‘The Darling Buds of May’ it was perfect in every way.
