Stopped off for a pint. The place had a mixture of tourists and locals in as customers. The staff were pleasant and on the ball. We didn't have anything to eat here, but after a sneak look at the meals going out they looked great. Nice place give it a go.

A characterful boutique hotel, in the heart of Alnwick, perfectly located within minutes walk of the famous Alnwick Castle. We were allocated room 6, at the top of the hotel. Less abled may find it difficult to get to as up two flights of stairs. The room itself large and beautifully appointed, with a subtle tartan themed decor. Large, comfortable...

Our room was a standard double and cost £110 a night. It was large with 2 single beds pushed together. Bedding was fresh and clean but the beds had 'dips' in them like lying in a hammock. Every time one of us moved we could hear the springs popping. When we did finally settle, the plastic deer head fell off...

Booked this hotel as it looked cosy but modern and didn't mind the £100/room price. We were booked for a meal at The Treehouse restaurant, Alnwick Gardens so found the location ideal for a short walk to dinner. Arrived at the hotel and although no real reception area to be found we were escorted to our rooms by a very...

Very rarely have five of us been presented with five such poor examples of sandwiches. The bread was plain sliced loaf of a cheap variety and the fillings unsubstantial. Chips ordered as an extra were undercooked although at least they were proper potatoes. All of us left most of what we were presented with. The first two beers requested were"off"....

I had heard from a good friend that the pub were charging two different prices for their drinks depending on whether you were a "Local" or a "Tourist ". I couldn't believe this as I had found the pub to be a great place to meet with friends. However I was there last Friday evening with a group of friends...

We were here following my brother's wedding. Unfortunately, despite the fact my brother and his new wife were staying here, they got locked out on the night of their wedding. Fortunately, as there were many of us visiting for the weekend (including a large diaspora from Brazil) they found a floor to sleep on. Not ideal for a wedding night....

We stayed here for three nights. initially we booked a standard double bedroom but because it was quite we were upgraded. The décor was lovely, its a modern/industrial Scottish theme, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was great. However when upgraded we actually received two twins beds put together and they were extremely uncomfortable, you could feel and hear...

Had lunch here as a party of 6, with 2 young children. Our table was upstairs but we asked to eat at the back of the bar as it looked so inviting - this was no trouble at all for the staff who promptly bought us a highchair. Staff were friendly and attentive and really helpful. We had Sunday lunch,...
