Booked a night away at The Plough on Saturday 8th October for my partners birthday, on arrival the Hotel is easy to find, right on the main road and parking is accessible with plenty of space. The Plough is as beautiful on the outside as it is inside, the bar & restaurant is beautiful, even the pictures online don't do...

Went for lunch at The Plough mid week September and were the only people in the bistro/restaurant. We chose The Plough as it is part of the Jolly Fisherman empire (which is jolly good!), Did not disappoint. Had the best plaice and chips for a long time, with lovely thin crispy batter, and excellent fish, and the steak and ale...

Rooms clean, food in restaurant good, but staff kept forgetting things. Had to ask for toast three times at breakfast, finally arrived after finished food. Mattress in room two needs replacing, springs broke, spoilt a good nights sleep

Very comfortable and pleasant stay at The Plough Inn, bar was very contemporary and had comfortable seating, service was good and the room had a huge bed. The breakfast menu was very good with a great choice, Eggs Benedict being my favourite and my husband loved the porridge. The toast could have been better if made with a malted bread or...

Complimentary coffee and tea in the room with bottled water an crisps for added measure. The car park just off the Main Street is so handy and makes getting in and out of anlnwick so easy...

The Plough is s really nice location - very contemporary and clean. They served a great variety of drinks including my favourite Birra Moretti! My only gripe would be with the extremely morose bar staff - all of them were blunt and not the least bit smiley. Come on folks, you're in the service industry!!! Other than this a great...

I spent two nights at the Plough this August for some R&R after a conference in Newcastle. I could not have picked a better place to unwind. Staff were very friendly and helpful and never made me feel awkward for travelling alone. Its easy walking distance from The Plough to Alnick castle and garden yet totally quiet and peaceful. My...

Small area but people watching and life going by in a busy but beautifully preserved inner town is worth it. Didn't eat so can't comment. Look through the old "within"/ "without" archway and you get a sense of how old it really is.

I stayed here for one night in early August as I was attending a wedding in the area. I arrived early and asked if thete was a chance of checking in early. The staff were very helpful and it was no bother for them to check if the room was ready. I stayed in room 2 which is one of...
